Fun fact: In Monster Hunter Rise's in-game track list (accessed by going to your room and interacting with the Housekeeper, then selecting Room Customization), this song is referred to as "Endless Maze - Jungle", which is either an error or an intentional nod to the song originally being from Frontier's Great Forest region in High Rank. Espinas being the first Frontier-original flagship (after Teostra, which was the flagship of the game at launch when Frontier was meant to exist hand-in-hand with the main series), the Forest theme became associated with it, just like how "Lagiacrus' theme" is actually just the Deserted Island/Moga Woods theme that plays when you fight ANY large monster in that area.

Hes acxually kinda buffed in comparison to frontiers espinas. Hes way bigger than he was and he doesent have his drowsy phase after waking up anymore. He just goes straight to Agressive and then even more agressive

@@draw2death421 I mean, you're also WAY more powerful than the Frontier hunter is when they meet Espinas. You don't even have heaven or storm style at the point when you meet him for the first time.

And to think Espinas is one of the EASIEST monsters you could fight in Frontier... Add even a single Zenith to the game and you could easily make them the superboss.

@@Konh-Minh Well, yea, Frontier had a ton of additional mechanics though. If they added mid-late game enemies from frontier they'd have to either rework them or add in a lot of the extra Frontier stuff. It's part of the reason Rocket-Tonfa and the Magnet Spike haven't been introduced; 1. Because Frontier's base didn't want those weapons going to the main series since they had to pay a sub for them 2. because they were so imbalanced compared to the rest of the weapons in the main series and would take a TON of reworking to make viable without invalidating at least one other weapon class each. Honestly, I want a bunch of the Frontier exclusive monsters but I'd rather them leave behind a lot of the mid-end game stuff behind since it just wouldn't fit in a mainline Monster Hunter game without completely changing the feel of the game. Frontier was great and all but it was an entirely different beast.

so like many espenas fan boys before you, the chief reason you like him is hatred for kushala. meaning, if kushala didn't exist 1 espenas woul have no reason to exist and 2 if it did it would recieve unbiased reactions of mostly irritation like it deserves.

it's hardly that different, the sleeping thing is almost flavor text in Rise because he wakes up so fast, his tripple status is a mod/taking a few old assets and putting them in the same attack file, and the last of the big 3 things is just basarios style shit hit zones.

Also yea, I would be seriously impressed if we get something like Second District Duremudira or Disufiroa in late Sunbreak game. About Guanzorumu, aside that huge Phase 2 Red Dragon Ball that one shot you. he's completly normal lol, just remove Z roar and Z tremor.

The best part is with the mounted punisher, you can turn those onto a monster. Fireblight, Poison and Paralysis in one hit, even though the Paralysis is interrupted by a charge after you dismount.
