But after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down. Mutation: it is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.

@creationsmaxo
@creationsmaxo Жыл бұрын
@@andresvera731 It's a sort of rating based on the kind of environment and budget in which a movie was produced. Even heard of Bollywood? That's basically the general term to define the movie industry like Hollywood, but within the B-Movie category. Yes, many movies from China, India and Korea are in that category. B-Movies usually have a budget under the 10M (some have one as high as 50M, but they are exceptions and the raise in production is usually due to the International release costs such as translations and targetted PR materials.) Whenever you see one of those strange horror or action movies that tries to be clumsy at blender genre, it's often a B-Movie. The Asylum is one example of B-Movie production studio. It doesn't mean that B-Movies are bad, but just that you'll rarely see any well known actors or directors working in such movies and the special effects and post-screen effects are mostly done by a limited crew which often includes interns (unpaid temporary employees who work to gain experience so they can build a portfolio and work for bigger production companies). Examples of successful B-Movies would be the first SAW and the Cloverfield series of movies. The first JAWS is also a B-Movies. C-Movie are the kind of movies that are released without much of any marketing and involves a limited production crew. For example, movies that are produced as an hobby and released on KZbin are often C-Movies. One thing that separates a C-Movie from a B-Movie is the length. A B-Movie will always represent a full length movie, hence the possibility for it to be released and sold as portable media like DVD or Blu-ray disks. C-Movie can be shorts of 10 to 60 minutes. While you can find a DVD or Blu-Ray disk that contains a bundle of C-Movies, you'll rarely see one that only has 1 C-Movie, unless sold in a Flea Market. For example, Pixar's Sparks series of mini-movies are C-Movies as they are of various short length with limited production crew and produced over an average of 6 months. Dreamworks is also fond on C-Movies with their post-release mini series such as the penguins adventures from Madagascar or How To Train Your Dragon shorts stories which, in both cases, you can clearly see the huge drop in quality from the original movies production value. (Basically, those movies are produced with a limited production crew and uses mostly existing assets pooled from the original movies. It's still time-consuming to make due to the animations, but they are also skipping most of the post-rendering effects resulting in taking barely 30% of the original's production time per minute than the original. So if the original took 3 years for 125 minutes, producing 25 minutes with the C-Movie production crew would take about 2 to 3 months.)

When my dad and I saw this teaser trailer, we saw it on IMAX when we went to see another film. I was surprised this movie didn’t get released on IMAX. I mean, really. Seeing the two girls trapped on top of that tower on that big of a screen would’ve been heck of an experience. But it was still great. When the two girls were only halfway to the top, me and my dad’s palms were already sweating.

No you will not. it's a very interesting film, but at that height those two girls behave like schoolgirls on a children's playground, a completely unrealistic portrayal of someone who is in trouble. And even the bravest people would behave differently at that height, and they wouldn't jump for joy in certain situations and have meaningless conversations. Likewise, the sense of humor disappears very quickly in life-threatening situations, which is not the case in this movie.

What if Lionsgate produced their trailers first and audiences decided if the feature got made? That’s one of the things we intend to do differently in our new studio system. Would you support the idea?
@creationsmaxo
@creationsmaxo Жыл бұрын
I suggest you avoid that idea like a pest. First, to produce a trailer, you need a concrete idea and production system or there might be massive disparity between your trailer and your movie. You might not know this, but movie theatres are usually part of financial groups that can openly refuse to display your movies if your studio has an history of false advertising from its trailer. Video games had this exact problems in the last decade where games had awesome trailers and the released game was "downgraded" due to technical issues that weren't faced when the trailer was produced. Second is the issue of priorities. A trailer length is barely 2 minutes and while you might like or dislike the content of that 2 minutes, it doesn't give you any idea of what the remaining 118 minutes of the movie will be like. It's well known that people are really bad at making decision when exposed to less-than-enough information. You would give your audiences the power to stop you from making something that could be insanely good, but only when watched as a whole, while giving it the power to force you to make something that looks good on paper and in a short burst, but becomes boring after you have seen how things roll around the idea for more than 30 minutes? Third, costs. Either you produce parts of the movies already (which involves costs) and take parts of it to produce your trailer (which involves more costs) or you produce what you think would be the trailer from nothing and basically create what could be a short movie by itself which, by the way, cost a LOT. Yes, you would ultimately pay less than producing a movie up to the point of being able to make a trailer out of its elements, but you'll also have to produce more trailers, hence pay more in the end whenever your trailer fails to go through your audience. If you are writing about having a project reviewed early on internally by a review audience under contract to make sure you're not throwing money at a wall, well you're late because every major productions studios already do it. As an example, why do you think that Batgirl was cancelled? WB didn't get the kind of positive feedback they wished for when it was reviewed by their contracted reviewing audience and instead of releasing something that could have hurt their DC brand, they decided to scrap the whole thing and includes their financial lost within their production cost, ultimately saving that money on their tax report at their next quarter report. Remember that people might love a trailer and yet hate its movie or might dislike a trailer and, ultimately, still watch and like the movie because the trailer didn't convey the same kind of experience as the movie does.
