We so need a sequel to this one day 🌟 *My theories on the creature and its connection to how the dad met the mom (plus other stuff lol):* Maybe the creature is the ghost of the mom's ex and something happened (A murder on or before a date maybe, given the suit it was wearing) and it started haunting the mom and the dad after the dad met the mom and the spirit was jealous of the dad and the children and was desperate for attention and will get closer physically and closer to the edge of murderous intent if it isn't given any attention, hence the "don't look away" rule and how "when you look away, it gets closer." I don't have any ideas on the "splitting up if one of two look away" thing yet, but who knows? Aside that, i have some theories on the reason for the bag and chains and why making it look in the mirror and trapping it in there and breaking the mirror is its weakness. Maybe it was disfigured as it got murdered and whoever did it covered the head with the bag and chained it up before they disposed of the corpse. Or maybe it was disfigure *AND* it saw its face and hated how it looked as it became a spirit, so it put a bag on its head and used chains to seal it and keep people from seeing its face and, because it hated its face, it didn’t dare to look at itself, even with the bag on its head, because of the horrifying image in its memory and, also since it's a spirit, based on some forms of rules of a spirits weakness in various media, trapping it in a mirror by making it look in it is a weakness and, by breaking the mirror, they die as a spirit. Also, I have additional thoughts on the parents divorce (if they divorced if not just separate while still being married). Maybe the mom and the dad agreed to a divorce or separation in order to protect the kids, and since the mom knew that the spirit was connected to her ever since they met, she allowed the dad to have custody of the kids so that they could protect them and the parents, mainly the mom, made it seem like the divorce was for another reason, like constant arguments (since the brother said that she "always slammed doors in mens faces") in order for the kids to believe that that was the reason for the separation. After a few years, both parents were able to notice the spirit coming by less and less and believed that it was safe to be around eachother and the kids, hence the visits, until present day in this short film where it came back and the kids had to know about it..
