Thanks for sharing, Sheri. I always find that putting your entire attention on the rain sounds works really good. When thoughts appear, then gently redirect your attention back at the rain sounds. After a while, your breathing slows down, body relaxes and you fall asleep. The key is not to try not to think, but redirecting your attention back to the sounds. I don't know what i would do without this video. I know I would not be sleeping much. A guy in my building plays old country music non stop, (the kind of sounds I grew up with and still dearly love), but just at the limit of audibility. So I strain to hear it.
