I have ordinary colchicums which are lavender in color and are lovely. They are blooming in late October. They were not expensive.

I try to plant 30-60 crocus every year. Fun in the spring
@aalejardinАй бұрын
Colchicums are lovely -- they put out a vigorous bunch of leaves in the spring, then disappear and finally surprise you by a beautiful burst of delicate flowers in the fall. Mine have come back well each year. Other than hybrid tulips, bulbs are such a great investment because they come back every year and multiply. Camassias are great if you have a damp area where other bulbs would rot -- I have a large collection and many are growing near the moisture loving iris along a "stream" which is really a drainage ditch. Tulips, well, you just have to plant them for the beauty and joy they bring in the spring. They generally don't perennialize and the deer and rodents love them, but they are spectacular. I have been adding species tulips to my garden, but I will still plant the hybrids every year. I interplant with daffs to discourage the rodents and cross my fingers that deer won't make a buffet of the blooms.

Your videos are wonderful, so I find it odd and a bit disappointing that viewers don't take the time to LIKE your videos. Right at this moment there have been 784 views in the first 3 hours but only 152 likes. Don't people understand saying "Thank you" by taking a second to press LIKE? Don't they know that changes your analytics, which I believe translates into $ for your channel? Folks, let's say THANK YOU more often!

I'm very selective with my likes because then it gets added to a playlist which I absolutely don't want cluttered. It's enough that I'm subscribed and regularly comment.

Thanks for mentioning the long shore man’s strike 🪧 every single person reading this comment is closer to blue collar working class people than the billionaire class that subjugates these port workers. Those men and women are the linchpin to the global economy and are the ones getting everyone their packages. We really should all stand in solidarity with them.

Forcing a 65% wage hike? really?
@FellowtellurianАй бұрын
@@FireflyOnTheMoon yes, they have not had a raise in years and the ports are automating their jobs so they need the money before they lose their employment and can’t support their families. They make current 22,000 to 81,000 and have to live in port cities with high housing costs. Even a 65% raise in 81,000 is only $132,000. That’s nothing in today’s economy. You need that to be able to support a family.
