Hi Summer, I've been watching your channel for three years. Seeing your projects in full bloom has been a ray of sun in a very difficult time. Some thoughts for your rock garden, and for whoever designs and plants this garden. You mention "pulling it all up". I have some questions for your consideration while you prepare for that project, given that its such a big area that already has some plant diversity. Measuring seven times and cutting once should be taken into consideration when moving large stones. I think you can be more creative and strategic with your limited stones. Would it be possible to concentrate the stone you already have into pocket rock gardens for the first year? That would give you time to identify spots for future gardens when you or your neighbours inevitably need to remove shale? How can you phase the garden in? Learn from mistakes before you scale? What could you do lower the disruption, and take your time to understand the the plants that already thrive in the existing contours and soils? How can you lower the energy, fuel, and time needed to establish a garden, where some plants are already well-established? What about flattening out existing ledges and add your stones to plant between and around. How can you leave room for goldenrod in the garden? Where can you pull plants by hand? Where on your land do you already have rock garden conditions to transplant the plants that do well in this garden? Could any of them be sources for plants, seed, roots, and cuttings for this area? I'm very excited to see you bring more people on your land, and see how this beautiful place youve created flourishes.

Interesting Video. Haven't seen too many cover a large walipi/earthen greenhouse. I guess if you have land and the tractor/bobcat/etc to dig it yourself, and the water-table isn't too high...I'd want to go +1 and dig a 'basement' under it. - You could have the basement be a 'drive-in ramp' area for equipment'. - It could be an aquaponic system underneath the veg farm, warmed so water doesnt freeze either. - It could be a 2nd layer of veg farms. - It could be a system of algae growth panels like Cody'sLab was doing; using that for animal nutrients or just nutrients for veg.

I was just gifted a Multi flora rose and placed it on my archway. Do you think it’s best to remove it? I just heard that it can host mites that causes Rose Rosette Disease. Wondering if you have heard of this? Thank you 🙏 for great video episodes 🌷🖖🏼

You and Saunder (and Joey helped too)have done a tremendous job transforming your land. So many projects. Deer fencing, gates, pulling out invasives, culling trees, creating new garden beds, grass pathways, creating the meadow house, etc. Its remarkable in a very short time. Cant wait to see what projects come next, inside and outside. Feel proud of your accomplishment.

Always enjoy seeing Edible Acres and their setup. And really appreciate the videos. I know I’m late to the party, but I wanted to mention Seaberry is NOT deer resistant. I planted some on my property in MT and the deer nibbled on the leaves. After I saw it I immediately fenced them in, but it looks like they hit it a few times. I will say there is no plant diversity in this state so maybe in a warmer/diverse climate they won’t bother it. Just wanted to let everyone know.

the garden looks good now. That will be a lot to defend against weeds for the next couple years. i see so many gardens that turn into weedy eyesores after the first year because people don't realize how much weeding is required to maintain them the first few years.

This is gorgeous but to me, too much stuff. It seems that almost every empty spot, such as on the shelves or the open shelf wall has been filled with something. Having some empty space is nice and more peaceful imo especially in a small space. Plants are beautiful but again, too much, imo. Love the layout and the colors!

Great, cozy looking house. What we did is put lazy susan like they did in a past with non bendable doors, so it is corner V shape fixed panel that attaches to the shelves inside. This eliminates huge inconvenience of these movable, bendable fronts that they currently placing in most kitchens. We never have to worry about banging the door against cabinets on a side. We also put sliding metal shelves in all bottom cabinets to be able to get to any items in a back easily, like you did with your trash door, and in trash cabinet, we placed 18" dishwasher and narrow pullout cabinet next to it. We put slide out shelf under the sink with trash bin so we could slide waste from cutting board that fits over the sink area (idea came from RV kitchen design) but our sink is single bowl with left side drain that allows for full clearance space under the right side. I love the refrigerator/ freezer.
