You have a big family with big responsibilities which always comes with constant interruptions. Go with the flow. If you have slow time embrace it for all its worth. Sweetness, thank you for being you❤. Your little women remind me so much of me and my three sisters growing up together. It is a joy every time you share! Walmart has these screw looking things that have a piece of metal round that stops the screw at the wall so you can hang heavy things on plaster backed with metal. Our 1800’s house is Lathe and plaster walls and I use them on my walls.

Loving all the feels. Something i do to hold my stems where I want them is putting rice or dried beans into the container first. Then, placing the stems. I use it season after season. Waiting patiently for part 2;)

If there’s enough space between the drywall and the metal house structure, try Hercules hooks (off brands work just as well and they sell them at Walmart, Lowe’s, Amazon, etc). I literally use them for everything. I even use them to hang up extremely heavy mirrors with no issue.

You can’t nail into plaster. For light weight items I drill into the wall and then stick a nail into the hole. With heavy items I use anchors made for plaster walls that I get a Lowe’s

I really love your color scheme for Fall and you are right you should be able to purchase new decor because you always are thrifting. I use those picture hangers that are nailed in diagonally downward for most items in our house. Have never had an issue with anything falling or damaging the wall. Just get the correct weight for the item

I also have plaster walls! Not easy. You have to either find the studs or we would use a screw instead of a nail. Also wall anchors🤷‍♀️ It is a struggle…

Hey Kristen, my suggestion for your picture dilemma is to use command Velcro instead of the hooks. They are very strong and you can add as many of those bad boys as you want lol. Also, my brain is now mush because my kids interrupt me all day long and it's 😵‍💫 so no... You are not alone!

I have a similar situation with metal behind the drywall. I had to use a drill and used screws to hang pics. It’s in there solid im telling you. It has to penetrate the metal. I had a huge picture so I used two screws because it was so wide. Held beautifully. 😊

Lily is her daddy all over. I got my grasses off Temu much much cheaper than Hobby Lobby and I got 6 different kinds for under $10. Command always fails. I would love to see that covered bridge painting over the fireplace. It would look fantastic. Oh, but I do love the one you hung up. My tiebacks on my cushions always tore.

Hi! About hanging the paintings on that wall...: when you used the command hooks... Did you clean the hanging spot on the wall with alcohol before you fastened the hook? And waited at least 30 minutes after you had put the hook up before you put weight on it? That could help. Or you could use a screw-in-loop and fasten it in the ceiling molding and use a fishing line or something else invisible to hang the painting. Good luck! For my heavier frames & mirrors, I use monkey or gorilla hooks to hang them. They essentially puncture & hook into the other side of the drywall, so they’re way more secure than screws or nails. No idea if they would work with your situation, but thought I’d share!

I love your pillows and you got a great deal. You need to do something for yourself now and then. You could try supergluing the corners of the picture as long as it's not too big and heavy. It will damage the wall of course if you decide to move it. YOu will have to scrape off the residue, spackle it and touch up the paint.
