I love your artistry! (If you leave the plastic cover on the foam, it make a little less mess. After cutting, you can remove the plastic and discard).

Beautiful Christopher! You are absolutely right florals are expensive. I hope to get some Spring florals on sale this year🙂🌷🌷

I'm sure there will be tons of spring floral (and Easter decor) on clearance after the stores open back up this year! I do keep a stock of some floral that catches my eye in the basement and use them on occasion when they fit a project. :) - Christopher

I am I interested to know how you shop. Do you have an idea in mind regarding your decor? Or, do you find what you like and then style it to fit your decor? You mentioned shopping previous seasons for the sales. I do that, but it is hard for me to have a future vision of what I want. Do you just pick standard colors for the season? Your decor is amazing...so, I am thinking what I should buy this Fall when items are on clearance.

Hi glamtheresa7, When I clearance shop a season ahead, I look for items that I think I could use for the next season. Sometimes I know right away what I will use the items for, but other times I just know that I can find a way to use certain items. Most of the time, I can't find exactly what I have in mind/want for a decorating idea on clearance, so I see what there is there, and come up with a themed idea with what items they do have left on sale. I don't always find everything I need for an idea either - but usually I find enough for part of the idea so that the next season I don't have to buy everything at full price. Also, I shop year round for things to use for each season - you never know what you might come across at garage sales, thrift stores, or antique shops! For seasons like Christmas, I shop all year round too (as well as buy things after the holidays the season before). But I also try hard to use things that I have used previous years - finding fresh ways of using the same thing in a way that makes it look new again. But going back to your first couple questions (just in case I haven't answered them yet): A little of both. For some projects, I do have an idea in mind and kind of know what I am looking for. But for others, I just watch for things that speak to me, and of course, good sales! :) Thanks for your question! -Christopher

Another display well done, I love how you take us through it step by step. I have a suggestion for cutting thick stems. I use a heavy duty plier with a cutting edge. They cut through those stems almost like butter. I do use wire cutters for the thinner stems. It will save your hands. Just a suggestion.
@ChristopherHiedeman6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion - yes, some of those stems can be hard to cut! :)
