Hello Christopher! How are you doing, I want to ask how are you doing in publishing the book?
@ChristopherHiedemanСағат бұрын
Hello! I'm doing good! I had to rewatch this video to remember what book I mentioned :) The book that I mentioned at the very end during the "what I did this year (2023)" segment is the Beatrix Percival Illustrated Edition book that is now on Amazon. Since then, this year I wrote a new Halloween children's book "Mildrid The Mouse's Halloween Adventure" which I released on May 5th (2024). If I find the time, I always enjoy writing & would love to work on more book projects in the future :)

I ordered and just received your snowman in a winter scene push button night light. I LOVE it! It is so warm & cozy all lit up. I know I will treasure it for years to come. However, it was the extra care you took in wrapping it (with the same beautiful wrapping paper in this video) and sending along a personalized holiday card that warmed my heart. Thank you! Happy Holidays! 🎄☃💙

I just want to thank you for keeping it real and not over decorating like a lot of the people do on these KZbin videos. They make you feel like you’re walking through yet another mall. This is such a classic that makes me feel warm and cozy inside from my childhood memories.. The age of your home is breathtaking in itself and you just topped it off with your Christmas splendor. I love the way you tell the story of each little piece right down to the choice of your music to go with the video. Bravo 👏

only psychopaths and maniacs keep peanut butter in the fridge. im kidding. lol its def a red flag though. XD jk I am offended that you didnt coat the bottom with chocolate.
@ChristopherHiedeman18 сағат бұрын
It's been a few years since I made this video but I think that I either used fresh peanut butter (the type that has to be kept refrigerated) or refrigerated the peanut butter mixture so it would be a firmer consistency to drop spoonfuls of into the paper cups. I know - I took the easy way and skipped coating the paper cup bottoms with the almond bark - the peanut butter cups get eaten so fast that no one has ever noticed :)

why does everyone act like microwaving chocolate is easy but then i cant do it well at all? am i broken? its not like i cant cook or bake. theres a few things.. chocolate, caramel and frosting a cake with a frosting bag.. cant. not yet at least.
@ChristopherHiedeman19 сағат бұрын
Hello! Microwaving regular chocolate chips isn't as easy as using chocolate almond bark. Chocolate almond bark is much easier to melt and use for making treats like this - usually each package of almond bark has instructions on how to easily melt it (different brands might vary slightly). If it is microwaved too long or for too long of an interval at a time it can get firm and textured, but if you follow the recommended method on the package (and make sure the recommended method is for the wattage of your microwave), you hopefully will have better luck :)

I love to go on the tours of your lovely home. I am always taken aback by the special touches and the precious memories you build into your life from the past. Thank you so much for the beautiful and peaceful presentation that makes me feel as if I have entered the Victorian period as I go from room to room checking out all the wonderful details you put into your decorating.

I loved your tour. The corner built-in needs a couple of doilies or bottom mats or vintage books to rest the decorations. Just a thought

You could add papier maché around the wire stems of your "casted spell" sprays to make individualized wands from the story, especially Ron Weasley's broken and spellotaped wand. And there's got to be a way to make a Jelly Belly garland of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.

Simply glorious, Christopher. Every year I am more and more in love with your wonderful home and the life that you and Tim have built for yourself. I was telling my daughter a little bit about you and your decorating as she is home for Thanksgiving and I was watching your last couple of videos that I hadn't had time to see. I reminded her that you were the writer of the book I bought her and her BFF last year. She remembered my mentioning you and one of her favorite places to visit and shop is Home Goods. We were both marveling at how you take what are basic things and elevate them to a whole other level. She and I look at the things at Home Goods and have no idea what to do with most of the things. Each year I envy you your basement as I have neither a basement or attic so what decorations I have have to fit in my garage along with the cars, crafting supplies, furniture that I am hoping to get refinished at some point. I am contemplating a move this spring and I swear I won't move anyplace that doesn't have a ton of storage. I think the Home Depot tree with the traditional colors and ornaments is my favorite of all the trees you have done. Because my house is done in mostly pastels with occasional black décor to ground the rooms, I tend to decorate in pastels colors for the holidays and am kind of hankering for a more traditional tree. I think if I start now I might get it done by next Christmas. Once again, thank you for your lovely video and I wish you and Tim the happiest of holidays. Deborah

Thanks Deborah! Yes, when we were house shopping, storage was big on my list! There was a different house we were looking at the same time we were thinking about this one, but the basement of it was finished and had no storage. I'm glad we chose this house as I love the character it has as an old home, but am really happy with all the storage as well! Wishing you a fun holiday season & have a great Thanksgiving! :)
