Not a critique on Des but I want to say this to the people watching. Don’t feel like you need to purchase the amount of stuff shown here. You don’t need to buy a whole house worth of decor for each season. Be content with what you already own ❤

She did just get a new home so she wants to go all out so she can have them for the future since she went from living with her parents and only having a room to decorate to having a whole house to decorate! She’s just enjoying the fact that now she has a house of her own to decorate but I do understand what you’re saying! I just know as someone who will soon be getting my own place and I can’t wait to be able to buy things during the holidays to decorate my entire house instead of just my room!

As a reminder, she just moved in. And you can see it the other way around: yes, you shouldn’t overconsume, especially if you don’t have the means for this kind of thing. BUT if it’s something that brings you joy, if you love decorating your home seasonally and choose decorations you’ll reuse every year, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. The most important thing is feeling good in your home. Plus, even though I’m not decorating my home this fall, it makes me really happy to watch her do it.

tip for the TJ’s apple cider donuts- wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for 10-15 seconds!!! got this tip from an employee there and i’ve done it ever since. it makes it so good with hot tea/coffee
