Have you tried mousing for Cutties, yet? We were catching them at dusk on fly-fishing gear as they were patroling the shore line just beyond the Soldier Creek Marina (in the small lake cuts and corner canyons). We were hiking around up on the hillside one evening looking for action and we could actally see the fish patrolling the near shoreline. They would swim up and back near to the shore. So we hiked down to the lake shore and casted mouse lures ( light-weight feathery ones because we were fly-fishing). We caught maybe 3 a piece before it got just too dark to fish. I know Cutties are not smallmouth bass but they WILL hit top-water at certain times of the day at Strawberry (dawn and dusk) when they are actively feeding.

Did you tip those jigs with any worms or bait?

@@Olderfishinchick normally tip my tubes/swim baits with chub meat. It is getting harder and harder to come by. Carp meat would be my second choice followed closely by shiners. Worms are usually a last resort for me.
