By request we are taking another road trip with Evie and Ruby Sue to find some more dolls! This time we will get to enjoy the beautiful Fall foliage in New England, Vermont and New Hampshire to be exact. Join us on our journey through backroads, past lakes and even through the Franconia Notch. We just might have found a few dolls in need of some restoration. On another note, I am uploading this weeks video from a near by library as we do not have any internet at home. We are working on the problem, and will answer any of you questions or comments as soon as we are able. I hope you enjoy the video!

That’s not the half of it. Chantae check to see if we had anything that would fit her. She found a gown with all the bells and whistles that had never been on a Doll before. It fit her can you believe it. The gown has full length white gloves. it looks amazing on her!🥰❤️😀

So happy you enjoyed it. It is very beautiful up here but I wish we did not have practically 6 months of winter.😏 I am sure the winters are warm in Texas.😊 All our dolls that we found are in different stages of repair and we will put up a video of them soon.🥰

I so hope you make a video showing how you repair/restore cracked peeling composition arms and legs. I've been wondering how to approach this issue. Your channel is appreciated!

I’ve just had a few requests for that. To be truly honest with you I wasn’t going to do a video about what I’ve learned because I didn’t what the backlash for doing something that might be ridiculed as dangerous. although the method I speak of I used to repair that severely cracked 20” Shirley Temple dolls head. There is a video of that restoration on our channel. I stumbled on that method working on a small early 1900s doll about a year ago. That method has served me very well with many composition dolls since. I never liked taking there original pealing bodies down to the wood pulp and loose the original doll. So yes I will do a video on the restoration of compositions without stripping the doll. As with the ironing Saran hair to restore it might be against what has been taught. Using this method works very well and if done properly it does No damage to the original composition. 🥰🌺

So happy you enjoyed it.❤️ Yes, we have always had 3 chihuahuas, Teddy is 13, Evie and Greyson at 3 yrs. old are litter mates. You can see them all in a short I did of them after they had a bath. Each one’s reaction to the bath was quite comical. We rarely leave the house so when we do we dress in what makes us happy. Ruby Sue enjoyed the trip, she is always the cherry on top.😍🥰

So fun to follow both of you (and your furry babies) while doll hunting. The scenery is beautiful. You found some great dolls. Can wait to see the restoration of the Shirley Temple doll. The checkered white and red dress that the taller doll is wearing was for the Ideal Kissy doll. Thank you for sharing! 🥰

We are so happy that you enjoyed the trip. We just ordered a frail original Shirley Temple wig that’s probably too big. But it’s original and I will make it fit. we will film some of her restoration. as you saw I’ve already started. Just couldn’t help myself 🙄. will share some methods I use to repair composition. Thank you for telling me it’s a real doll dress and who from. That was very kind of you.❤️

Thank you for doing the Fall Foliage Doll Hunting trip. Looked like a gorgeous day to be out trees and scenery were great. Loved the variety of dolls you picked up. Poor Shirley was looking better already without the oversize wig. I hope you show restorations on both of the composition dolls as I have some that were my mothers (her name was Ruby also) and would love to be able to help them without doing full repaints. So hope you show how to save original cracked composition if it's possible and would love to see the repaint of the little ones face. I so appreciate you showing us how to do thoughtful restorations on dolls. Thanks again for another great video

You are very welcome! Because of your request I will show a method that I just stumbled on restoring a 1900s doll about one year ago. I did use that method on the video about restoring a badly damaged 1934 20” S.T. doll head. This method all thought might be criticized at first has worked extremely well on many compos I’ve done and if done right doesn’t damage the original composition of the doll. I really do not like stripping a doll and changing everything she stared out to be. That’s just my opinion. we try to repair and keep them as close to original as possible. So we will try to help but have a very moldy doll I have to do first.😉🥰

Chantae had to go to a library to post the trip. We just filmed a short with Evie a short time ago. It should be fun. In a few days it will be posted. we always love hearing from you.❤️🥰

This was so fun! It was a three doggie trip this time with such beautiful scenery. What a great group of dolls. You got really lucky on. this trip. I can't wait to see how you restore the composition. A nice lady gave me her mother's composition doll and I would love to see how you fix the crazing. The Nancy Ann Style Show doll is so perfect looking. Wow. She is going to be so pretty in a new gown. Thank you so much for the much needed relaxing mini vacation from watching your video.

We are really happy you took this trip with us! I’ve had a few requests to show how we restore or repair compo. I wasn’t because it’s not conventional . I used it on the video of the 20” 1934 ST. with the badly cracked head . she is repaired and beautiful. if you watch it again listen to how I got the hard as rocks cracks to come together. I don’t like striping dolls down. I refer repair the pealed back compo and allowing it to go back down on the doll as it was before age got to it. we like to repair the doll as close to original as possible. Say Hi to mom for me.🌺 The flower is for her.❤️🥰😘

@@DIYDollArtist, oh yes, Shirley Temple. I remember that now, with Apoxie Sculpt. I will go back and refresh my memory some more. Thank you! And thank you for the flower for my mom. She says hello to you too! 🌻🏵🌼🌸 Here is a little garden for you. 🌺💮🌹🥀

@@elizabethruffing Thank you for the garden😘note when you watch the video that I had to soften the compo to be able to move the pieces into their original place.

@@DIYDollArtist, thank you for that tip. I have been wondering about that, how the bits wouldn't chip off. So far, this doll's worst issues are under her wig, where the coating raised up the most, and she is missing a hand. I think I can do the hand, but was worried about the cracks elsewhere.
