Couple comments. 1) Here in NC, there is a wildlife "habitat program" where you can get very inexpensive wheat and Oats. $8 for wheat and $15 for oats. I use Holdford Hardware in Enfield NC. I have also used Carpenter Farm Supply in Morrisville NC. BOTH PLACES will ease your blood pressure, just by walking in. Call your small, local seed store or hardware store... Its worth it. 2) Many local Ag co-ops will have a "buggy" you can rent to apply your lime, if you're foodplots are accessible and you have enough acreage to use it. 3) I was talking off the cuff.. I said "phosphate". I meant Phosphorus. N P K are your acronyms. Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium.
