Ahhh your garden looks wonderful. mine didn't do so well this year, between the cool damp weather and the gophers eating everything, not much for us to enjoy, but DID get some GREAT asparagus in the spring.

Thanks man, and sorry for your garden this year. Next year is a new year and hopefully it won't be as damp as this year. Have an amazing Sunday Greg!

Another commenter suggested the purple autumn flower towards the end of your video - is an aster. But my first thought is that it might be a purple coneflower (aka echinacea). If it is echinacea, than it has USEFUL natural-healing properties, i.e. immune system booster. I've used it especially during the winter months. I've never grown this perennial, but instead have always purchased it in tea and tablet form. If it is a coneflower, now seems to be the perfect time to harvest it. Of course you'll need to determine if it's one or the other - before ingesting it. If you find out, please let us know. P.S. Simeon from Swedish Homestead suggested your interesting vlog. Best wishes

Another interesting video, thank you for sharing. We share many similar interests - I have a rural kitchen garden (3 season garden, gave up trying to make it into 4 seasons) and am integrating lots of new ideas each year. Solar will be next couple of years I hope, as well as erecting a very large new greenhouse to provide 3 season protection to my main kitchen crops. Next summer is to build a combination canning kitchen/BBQ shed for winter grilling. I was wondering if you had any experiences with a food dehydrator? If yes, would be fun to see how you use it. Greetings from Metcalfe, Canada.

Thanks you. It seams that we share many interests. I use a dehydrator often. I dry mushrooms and fruits. Will do a video on it for you. Have an amazing week!

Hi Andreas! Nice garden you have there :) I see you only have cherry tomatoes. Any reason why you don't grow the regular ones? (or they just weren't shown in the video?)
@offgridsweden5 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. The regular tomatoes I grown outside and they where done several months ago. These cherry tomatoes started producing in beginning of June and we have kept them alive all into October 😁 Have an amazing Sunday!
