Asura blew up a person big as the earth by just punching his finger. He destroyed an entire fleet, destroyed their actual God of their verse. He fought Ryu, fought Akuma for 500 years straight. He even destroyed giant demons with no arms, and with a sword, he used his mouth and feet to use it. Much like Doom Slayer, he’s too angry to die, he’s fueled by the determination to run the hands with the ones that killed his wife and made his daughter cry.

It really depends on how they scale kratos because the gameplay it's a stomp for asura. But the Lore is another story as kratos would be stronger.

Kratos vs Asura is a fascinating match up when it comes to debatability. If you just look at their on screen feats, then the common consensus is that Asura wins. But if you take their larger lore and narrative into account, then Kratos wins. It’s another case of “it’s a stomp but in who’s favor?”

I don't see how Kratos CAN win. Considering and beware spoilers I guess, the end of Asura's game has him Duking it out with THE CREATOR OF HIS MULTIVERSE and getting hit by ACTUAL GALAXIES BEING THROWN AT HIM and he still comes out on top cause "YOU MADE MY DAUGHTER CRY!!!!" I do heavily recommend his game though, it's just a damn good time.

​@@mystrenula3911 before you whip out the "Kratos is infinitely fast because he caught Helios" card, I would like to say that he caught him via a catapult, and he did that in a cutscene which means it's what he did in lore. So either that catapult launched him infinitely fast, or Helios wasn't going top speed. I'm not saying that necessarily changes anything, but it's worth mentioning as I feel a lot of people scale Kratos using that feat when they shouldn't.

For Kratos vs. Asura. Asura beat the being that was the source of Asura's power, and that was capable of casually destroying and creating universes. I honestly think it's Kratos that doesn't stand a chance.
