Nomad's Hudson Valley is everything I'd expect for and from a quintessential Autumn palette. I had no idea what Fantasy Cosmetica was cooking up -- and have no idea if it was planned or coincidence -- but Bard is screaming Fall. Colour story and timing are perfection and I'm already a fan of the brand! As for dedicated Hallowe'en palettes, I'm limiting myself to the Gourmande Girls × Doodles by the Bunny collab.

Happy Fall Steff! I am really excited about the Halloween and Fall makeup releases. I am all there for Fall...the fresh, crisp air, the aromas of pumpkin spice coffee, apple pie, the colorful foliages, bonfires and toasted s'mores🍁🍁🍁. It is the most uplifting time of year! I hope you are enjoying this season also. Your looks are always stunning and I admire your enthusiasm with makeup and application. I think the 9 pan palettes from Huda I think they were called nude something have the same / similiar color story. I have both of the Shroud Battybean palettes and I love them and they work great together so if anybody is interested in them grab them.

I think the new Huda palette is a good addition to her 18 pan line. Naughty Nudes was midtone, Rose Quartz was light, and Empowered is dark. I see a lot of ppl saying its too neutral or too dark, but neutrals is Huda Beauty's thing and while mostly dark shades are not some ppl's cup of tea, well, mostly light shades weren't some ppl's cup of tea either w Rose Quartz. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe the 18 pan after this will be like Mercury Retrograde, a neutral w some color. Compared to Jaguar, nah, they don't seem the same. Jaguar has mixed metals w pops of lavender and has a mix of neutral-leaning cool and neutral-leaning warm tones w a wide depth range of light to dark. Empowered is warm heavy in both the mattes and shimmers w the focus on deeper tones. As far as fall/Halloween palettes, I'm happy using what I have, so not interested in adding too much. I'm interested in the Hallobean when it restocks and am really interested in the Adept Minka palette. Also wondering if OE and Kaleidos will have anything new before the end of the yr. Ooh! So glad ur reviewing the Queen of Damned palette. I liked the cover and the color story looked interestingly muted. It's not a color story I'd wear, but I liked it visually on its own and I wanna watch someone review it. 😅

I don't have a ton of Natasha Denona and I got this palette. I've reallt been enjoying it. More than the Love midi and 5-pans I have. I adore her mattes and cream-to-powder formulas. And the fact that there's a multichrome & duochromes. AND that it is all work appropriate!! I love my Indie brand Multichromes still too! But thought this was a good release for ND ♡

I have tried Shroud Cosmetics and I don't like their formulas. I had gotten to try a lot of it too and the metallics are like super thick satins. The mattes patch up so easily and don't like to build at all. And I have a lot of experience with different eyeshadow formulas - I just couldn't. I ended up reselling everything! But I did pick up the Hallobean palette - hoping the formulas have improved. We'll see! I always love their color stories and the interesting shades but the formulas are where they lose me.

Oh Steff, I’ve been so bad with the Fall/Halloween releases 😅 but I didn’t and I’m not picking up the following: Huda, Pat McGrath, Too Faced, Profusion, and ABH. The boot shaped palette is cure but It’s not giving me fall vibes. Everything else it’s either in its way to me or I’ll be picking up. Then some. And putting away my credit cards after Melts makes their holiday launch 🫠 I’m most excited for all the Unearthly palettes. I also picked up their mystery box and I’m super pumped for that as well. I just received the Shroud palette - it is gorgeous! I’ve bought It’s freaking bats and both their creepy cutie palettes in the past and couldn’t recommend them enough. I ended up buying the whole Hocus pocus and regretting it soon after lol. I should’ve just gone for the palette or one of the sets, but Colourpop gets me every time! And finally, I would say definitely try Fantasy Cosmetics. I can see you loving the Druid palette. To me is such a good, earthy palette and I’ve been using it in combination with Melt’s Gemini I and II. It supplies them with the shimmers they lack. Anyway, let’s not talk about making good decisions for another month lol

I bought the new Hocus Pocus palette, tarte maneater the new shroud palette. While I think so many indies do beautiful color stories especially for Halloween, I am very selective with the formulas I enjoy and feel like some are more than I’m willing to spend, so I don’t buy from a ton of indie brands. I also have Halloween and Fall palettes from last year and years before that I’m going to focus on. I don’t really feel comfortable buying from ABH anymore. But that aside that palette looks like a mix of their past palettes. I’m passing on it. The Huda palette seems more interesting.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Tarte's Afterdark Maneater palette. I had a gift card to use and I planned to buy it with my gift card. I didn't make it to Ulta for a week. Originally, I just planned to pop in and get it instead of waiting for it to ship. It was out of stock by the time I made it to store but Ulta could order it to me. They had the palette on display and I swatched it. The quality does seem nice but I didnt think it was that impressive in person. I'm sure I could create great looks with it and it would probably perform well but once I got to see it in person and swatch it I was like... its just another palette. I ended up buying the Back to Hogwarts palette instead and the highlighters. I'm really enjoying it and I think it does have a nice fall color story.

I would suggest the It's Freak'n Bats palette over the Hall-o-bean palette. Shroud has a really good formula, so they all are good, but I think you would like that color story better and they restocked it for the new launch of Betty's palette. Their duo chromes are some of my favorites I have tried and everything else is really pigmented.

I’m not a Makeup Revolution fan either. I ordered Strange and Unusual. I’m thinking about ordering the Spooked palette too. 🤣 I might get the Lily palette. I love The Munsters. I ordered both of the Profusion palettes mostly for the blues in the larger palette. I’m just starting to “play” with eyeshadow color as I was a neutral all the way kind of person and I wanted to try blues and purples. I can’t wait for it to arrive!

I’m a ND stand so Ofcourse I had to get the cheek and eyeshadow palette. I do want the ABH, Huda and some of the stuff from PM. They are just some of my faves. I will wait on sales or ask for some for my bday and Christmas though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Steff❤️

I picked up the Weirdos (those greens and purples/berries/plums!) and Warms my Heart (of course b/c I love neutrals)! Definitely picking up the ABH. On the fence about the HUDA one. I’m over the oranges leaning browns, don’t think I’ll use the two gel pans or the sticky one (with the curved road running through it), so that half the palette. I do like the cool side of the palette, but two of those are the gel liner pans. I don’t know why I have to work so hard to convince myself not to buy a palette I won’t get much use out of and only like half of. FOMO rearing its ugly head.
