It's that time of year again, prepping for Fall and Halloween Decorating. We planned on decorating for Fall, but we realized we are going on a trip in October and won't have time to decorate for Halloween, so we will wait a bit and do it all at once 🎃 Do you separate Fall and Halloween or put it all up at once?

Seeing your temperature and frost on the roof is making me wish our cooler weather would be here..lol. we're getting the rain from the Tropical Depression Nicholas...slacked off this afternoon..so glad. Seeing your basement and crawl space was interesting. I know when you fix it up for renting you will show us that as well.. Mary's hair is very pretty and becoming to her. When the time is right you will reveal the next adventure you'll be taking us on next month!! Hope y'all feel better 💓

I have friends in Michigan showing fall colors already, it's too soon! I hope you get some sun soon, lots of crazy weather out there. The basement is a huge mess right now otherwise I would have shown that, haha. We can't wait until our vacation, so excited!!!

Hi Bears. Loved Heather's outfit, so cute. Mary's hair looks great ... also hope you are feeling better. Congrats on the frost. We are still pretty warm here in Maryland. We are currently having a T-storm tonight. We decorated our inside for Fall/Thanksgiving the last weekend of August. We will probably do the outside sometime this weekend after Hubby does the lawn ... one of his absolute favorite activities 😊. He will have more to do this time because we had some tree work done last Friday and he wants to even things out, etc. No cleanup really. Our tree people did a wonderful job! Still can't find real pumpkins to put out on the porch ... they are late this year in coming out in the stores. We have a stand alone Starbucks in our town. We don't go there. I get my coffee at Wawa. But, we did notice that particular Starbucks was closed for the Labor Day weekend. Don't know why. When we drove by the other day, they were open which we were glad to see since they are usually very busy. Don't know if the labor day closing had anything to do with labor shortages, but it seems like every business you pass now has help wanted signs out. We even drove by a store that was advertising telephone interviews. Really? We had never heard about that. Could be something new but, wow, that never happened back in the day. Thank you Karen! 🥰 You two sound busy!!! I hope we get our decorations up this weekend, I have to tackle the yard again too and start putting away the patio furniture. It's crazy where has all of the help gone, I haven't looked at the unemployment stats, but where are people working? I know it's driving up our wages here for normal jobs, some people are afraid they are going to lose employees to McDonalds, it's unbelievable. Oh well, at least we are all working, I may not be making as much but I am still employed. Stay safe and hugs from us Bears 🤗💖

The halloween store had some really good stuff, and the glass that Heather got is beautiful. Poor Mary is really struggling to keep well, it's so unfair. Mary your hair looks lovely. I think people are getting sick because living with masks and antibac and cleaning everything to within an of it's life for so long has made it hard to fight off germs. I thought about that, a year and a half in a mask and now Mary is having a ton of issues with allergies, maybe getting a little pollen at a time kept it at bay too. I was always one of those Moms that believed kids should get dirty to build their immune systems, I feel sorry for the little children growing up with thos crazy business. Hi Ladies 💕 So nice seeing all of yall together including them Beautiful fur babies ❤ It's still hot here🥴 90' but I can't wait until I able to get me some mums & couple of hay bales. That store was cool, had alot of fun stuff in it. Since Covid people here decorate Fall a little bit but as far Halloween that's a no go.Covid is running high here🥴 but there be people throwing party an whatever🥴.Lovve yall decorations so pretty. Yea last week me & my hubby came down with sore throat, I push vitamin C an chicken noodle soup an it lasted 2 days 🥴 but all good now. Alot of people got it whatever it was. Ack, that's too hot 🥵 I am not sure how Halloween is going to be around here, they already had one big "Trunk or Treat" event, so the kids could celebrate while it's warm outside. Funny how we always forget about the simple things that make us feel better when we are sick. We have lots of vitamin C and chicken soup, didn't do any, ugh. Mary said thank you, she kind of let our hairdresser do whatever, he always does a really nice job on Mary's "whatever" cuts. We should all be over the cruddy stuff pretty quick, thank you and sending hugs back 🤗🥰🎃

I raised a family of gigglers, it's not a bad thing, I don't think anyway, HAHA. Those Spirit stores are pretty unique, popping up in unused stores and making a go of it for a couple of months. They sure do have a lot more than the other stores can offer. Hope you are doing well also 🥰💖

Thankfully we are all better now and all of our co-workers. It looks pretty grim out there though, people here still think it's a joke. Unfortunately it will take them getting very ill or losing a loved one before they understand the impact. So Sad, we have already lost some and have had friends and family with very bad long term symptoms. Stay Safe 💖🤗

We tried to order a few things the other day at our Starbucks - near Nashville TN . And they had no pink drink , no strawberry purée - no dragon fruit and passion fruit

They haven't had any of the fruits here for a long time, mostly the berry things. That's what our stores have been lacking too. I am glad I am stocked up in the freezer.

I might try a bleach solution before I store them for the winter, good idea. I saw the first Halloween Town years ago. I haven't watched any of those movies in years. I just need to sit down and watch a few again. Mary is feeling much better, most of this was recorded last week. I woke up with a sore throat this morning though, gah 😫

Thanks 💖 I read something a while ago about the Alaska-pox, not sure if I remember now, but it keeps showing up on my google news. It sounds kind of scary, but there has only been a few cases. I will have to check into it again.

Alaskan Ants are weird as they don't behave as 'normal' ants do. Normally, its moisture that attracts the Ants I encounter. The Starbucks around me is doing an incredible amount of business. There is a lot of commercial vehicles coming and going lately in the Inland Empire for all business related to fast food and drinks delivering supplies. Maby its your location Sherri. Although its the right time of the year, You are at the mercy of the Great Alaskan Highway so weather and traffic can be an issue. There should be (or once was) a KFC nearby; I recognize the street names. There used to be some sort of Wherehouse where the modern Fred Meyers is now (unless i'm mistaken) It breaks me heart to see buildings that were once busy now available for leasing. I'm sure they have had multiple renters over the years but it still is depressing. Back before GPs, articles like the one stating '74 year old men shot during a moose hunt' happened a couple times a year. They wouldn't be found until a few days afterwards (sometimes longer) which is really sad. People lived well away from Town and only came in a few times a week. Normally, its an accident but people out of fear would run and no one would know who or what other then the obvious. I'm not a big Halloween Guy but still appreciate the effort people take to celebrate it. I would enjoy what I consider the perfect weather now while you still can before the snow comes.

Yeah, the ants made "runs" in the wood of my barrel planters. It's my 3rd year using them and somehow they keep returning after they have been sprayed. All of the fast food is crazy busy, maybe the produce is not being sold, everyone is doing fast food. It was sad to see all of the empty buildings and stores popping up over the years. We had just started flourishing again in 2019, now things look really bad. Sad to say they still have people come up missing every year during hunting season. Lots of hunting "accidents" too. I will stick to fishing 🎣

@@Dbusdriver71 KFC is right across the street from Bucko's, next to the railroad tracks. All of the roundabouts and most of those stores back in that area would be new to you, that KFC has been there a long time though.

@@AlaskanBearsVlogs There were uncontrolled railroad crossings and service roads in Fairbanks in this 'neck of the woods' that would ice up and you read in the paper the next day how someone couldn't stop and got hit by a train. People who have lived there all of their lives that know better don't slow down either.

@@Dbusdriver71 I never hear about train accidents anymore, a lot of the dangerous areas have been moved, there is a lot of unused track now. Sad that we have to implement things for dangerous drivers, we now have flashing lights on the high speed roads to warn that the lights will be changing, so people will slow down.
