Clearly, Napa has evolved over the years from a sleepy town into one with numerous charming destinations. Albeit a Dutchman who lives in Middelburg, I grew up in Palo Alto in the '60s and '70s. I am quite familiar with Napa and the surrounding area because I have relatives living there. Napa (and other places like it) would benefit from increased emphasis on walking and cycling; I see little in the way of cycling infrastructure. Cars and parking lots are ubiquitous, and they are not attractive. Those responsible for implementing physical improvements to the Napa town centre should look to the Netherlands for inspiration and guidance on how to create truly mesmerising, enchanting, and inviting town centres.
