Yes Fall is near. 🍂🍁😁 My best friend has decorated for Fall but I am waiting till mid September. School started August 10th here in Tampa. When I was school it was the day after Labor day. I have been out of school 40 years though. Manley is taking a break.. He is a cutie. I made Sloppy Joes tonight. I got the recipe from Taste of home which doesn't add onion but I thought about adding some but didn't.. wish I had now. Your cake looks good. I bet it smells good too. Hi Falon and fam! Sloppy Joes are a great meal when you don’t know what time everyone will get home. I even cook mine in the Instant Pot on the sauté function and then put the lid on and use the Keep Warm function until we’re ready to eat. I like seeing Jonah riding on the horses like his Daddy. Your shopping trip was fun. Sissy is becoming such a great cook and I’m glad she’s going to enter a baked item in the fair. Go Audra!!

Oh Sasha I feel your pain. Not only did my daughter move out for college, my son moved out to his own place the same day. This momma was happy for them but my heart was broken. A few months later all was well my dil was expecting my first grandson. I now have 5 littles with another girl due next month. My momma heart is still there, but my grandma heart is filled with love. It does get better. I was able to see my daughter on weekends so that helped but still hurt to leave her. Now both are married and soon both will have 3 babies for this grandma to love with all my heart.

Love the cow pig thing. I didn't start school till after labor day. I love fall and everything pumpkin... It's cooler in Ohio too. I agree about correlating fall with back to school! Once school starts back it just doesn't feel like summer fun time anymore. You're ready to move onto the newness of the school year and don't want to think about it still being ole miserable, hot and humid summer. So even if it's just a state of mind, it's exciting to have that figurative change in seasons about mid-August! Plus, who can blame us? When it's been 95+ for almost 3 months straight you're just done with summer! We know it's still gonna be warm out until October. We know lol

I do not long for fall. I want the cooler days and the food is good but winter comes after it and winter is Michigan is not fun…dreary, cold, and long dark nights. I also don’t like it anymore because of all the creepy, evil Halloween stuff that starts appearing everywhere. With November comes sleet and and more dreariness which usually last until mid-January. I am definitely one of those people affected by less daylight so Spring and Summer are my seasons.

Ha I am beyond that in fact in 9 days I will be 57 and in 5 days my 50th birthday present will be 7. My first granddaughter was due on my birthday, but due to my DIL having to have a c-section she was born the 19th. Doctor picked the date. My third granddaughter is due next month, but she can be my 57th birthday present just late lol. I didn’t start school till after Labor Day, but here in the north we always started later.
