My husband and I went to Stockbridge several years ago and we went into that small brick building just down from the Inn. I believe it was a Yankee Candle Shoppe when we were there but, originally, it was a bank. While we were standing in there, the lady running the shop that day told us that the painting that Rockwell painted of the young couple signing the marriage certificate with the "bored" justice of the peace sitting in the chair, were actual people that Rockwell knew. She told us that we were standing in the very spot that the couple had been standing for the painting. She also told us that the couple was still married and about to celebrate 70 some years of marriage. =)What a special memory that was for us!

I am newer to your channel and have very much enjoyed your content. Thanks for letting me come along to the Berkshires. I live in a house on a hill in the Catskills and the mountains are right there. There are seven of us in our very cozy and little cottage! Been here sixteen years raising my five young children who are mostly now grown up. This is my most favorite time of year. Made pear sauce the other day...smelled so good. If you all were my neighbors I would send you over some. Happy anniversary! I am now married twenty eight years. What a lovely place to choose to celebrate your anniversary. It's one of my favorite places too. I love going to the Norman Rockwell museum and dining at the Lion's Inn, but never stayed there nor went to the apple orchard there, so I can add that to my bucket list😊. I'm from the eastern part of Massachusetts just a couple of towns over from Concord, and never knew the sculptor for the Minuteman statue had a summer home there. My mom, sister, and I used to love to visit such places. Sadly mom passed away, but it's now something my sister and I would like to resume together so thank you for letting me know of it. I get so excited when I see you have posted another video. I love many of the same things as you and enjoy them so much❤

I loved that area - it was one of the most beautiful places we ever visited. I loved Rockwell's museum, The Hancock Shaker village (the pics were great as I was teaching a 10th grade English class a novel about a Shaker family), and we saw a Shakespeare and company play performed in a barn in Lenox. We went to Maine to see Nathaniel Hawthorne's home, and the Salem witch and Pirate museum, as well. Thanks for this awesome memory!

Happy October 🍁🍁🍂🍂! and Happy Anniversary! Good choice , the Berkshires. Now the first of December was covered with snow. And so were the Berkshires, from Stockbridge to Boston. Though the Berkshires seemed dreamlike, on account of that frostin ❄❄❄❄. A magical place to soak up the essence of Rockwell. New Hampshire has a similar ambiance in Autumn. We plan to go 🍎🍎 apple picking soon. Stockbridge suits you both to a tee!

I am sitting here drinking a cup of your tea blend. I am usually not a fan of decaffeinated tea but I use loose tea all the time. This is a really good blend. such a lovely video! a few years ago, my parents surprised me with a birthday trip to the berkshires, particularly to visit the home of my favorite author, edith wharton. her home is called the mount and it is an absolutely magical place to visit. even if you’ve never read her works, you’d enjoy it (my dad loved seeing all the splendid architecture)! definitely recommend the mount for anyone planning a berkshires trip!
