High Moon Studios were developing the Deadpool game but Activision and Hasbro were still trying to profit from movie tie-in games so they had another team developing "Rise of the Dark Spark". If High Moon Studios had the chance to develop their third game (not tied to the films) I strongly believe it would've been as good as their previous Transformers games.

Memories of a better time. Of passionate developers who poured their all into whatever it was they were making, no matter who the publisher was. Of gameplay, soundtracks, and moments both incredible and unforgettable. Of a time when deadlines and profit margins were thrown into the trash in favor of making a masterpiece for even a comparative handful of fans, instead of the other way around. This game, to me, was the peak of that era. I'll never forget that first playthrough a decade ago. I still listen to that main menu theme from time to time to remind me of those good old days. I'm glad Kev got to play these two gems. I hope he doesn't play the third game.

If you really want Transformers but Metal Gear Rising, I recommend giving Transformers: Devastation a fair shot! It was also developed by PlatinumGames and it's more focused on linear melee based combat with the Transformers fighting on earth. Plus the soundtrack is an absolute banger! Man... I remember what a banger of a year 2012 was, especially if you were a Transformers fan, rivaled only by the likes of 2015, 2016, and the first half of 2020. The gaming industry was so good back then that even Transformers got one of the best video games ever made in their name. I know this was posted 7 months ago, but still, I can't thank you enough for this. Between this and the video before you let me relive my childhood, because this video game was 100% it. I remember it being the first game I ever RE-played, over and over again, always bumping up the difficulty level, while also trying to get all of the achievements through out the levels. I've always said my favorite video game is a tie between Terraria and Destiny 2, but you just made realize I've been lying to everyone my whole life, because this is my favorite video game, just a shame I can't play it on my 360 anymore seeing as it doesn't function any more. Thank you Kevduit, really, this is the most nostalgic thing I've ever seen, and I will now make it my goal to try to find someway to play it again.

I love throughout the game you see Optimus tries to bargain and reason with Megatron any chance he has, but then by the end Megatron kills Bumblebee and Optimus is now sick of his shit and wants Megatron dead.

Hi just wanted to say that when you play as Starscream,in the area when you need to blow up the door controles...in one of the buildings you can make him wear the crown again and you'll keep wearing it untill you talk to Grimlock.

If you're out here playing older games like this, one I can't help but recommend is an old PS2 game called "Metal Arms: Glitch in the System". It has it's share of flaws, but given how much you enjoyed robot on robot violence here in the transformers games, you might enjoy it too, it gives a very similar one man army feel with some simply amazing music to back up the carnage you cause and the mystical robocrap you find. Have a good one man.

this is one of the greatest games of all time. And honestly I think the fact we never got the 3rd game makes it even more special with the cliffhanger ending this got. I'd have loved to see the conclusion but also love the open ending, especially considering all the iconic character deaths we got. It's just the perfect conclusion

This game deserved so much more than it got! So did the studio behind it! This was a game built on a genuine love of the Transformers franchise and you can see that in every scene!. We got information about pre-war Cybertron, even seeing parts of the planet that have never been shown in any medium aside from comics! We got shout outs to the '87 movie with the Dinobots and Starscream's coronation! We got to be a goddamned combiner! It is a tragedy that the company was shuttered after the movie tie-in game they were forced to make. War and Fall proved they could make something great; they should've been allowed to keep going.

Personally, this is my idea of a sequel both done right and also acting as the spiritual successor to Transformers: The Movie , the first gen instance of this franchise going global. Man I miss when games were this good and didn't require you to either burn your wallet to have fun or require months of patches to fix basic sh¡t that shouldn't have been broken at launch. But with this game I gotta say the Bayverse Transformers games were also good games for what they were, especially the Dark of the Moon game as it has the same gameplay mechanics as the Cybertron games and a unique story too

The saddest thing about all of this, was Michael Bay getting his dirty hands on the third installment of this franchise. The first and second Cybertron games are absolutely top notch. But "Dark Spark" was the BIGGEST disappointment. An absolute abomination to the franchise.

Eh can you really blame Michael bay for it though? After all it was activision themselves that shut down hight moon studies. Plus while it’s not as good as the first two it’s not a bad game, it’s just a lot of people were upset about what happened to hight moon, which they had every right to be upset.

I'm so glad you played, and liked, this masterpiece of a game. I'm a massive Transformers fan and this game is up there as one of my all time favourites. And is no doubt the best TF game ever.
