Been watching Toldinstone for years, and I disagree with his statement that we viewers don't like his long form stuff, was never given the option, but perhaps I missed one and that's the algorithms fault I say! Could listen to him for hours, I've listened to 9 hour audiobooks in one session on these subjects, repeatedly

I absolutely agree. He is definitely incorrect here. Long form content does extremely well on KZbin. In fact, they have shown that repeatedly, when polled, people overwhelmingly favor long form content.

This is a welcome diversification of the topics you discuss. Ice age pyramids are fun, but i like the topic of Rome a lot too and we know so much more about it. This conversation and the previous one were both entertaining and informative. Would you consider having someone to talk about old Asian civilizations? China would have to be mentioned of course, but i would also be interested in Japan, Korea and whatever was going on in Southeast Asia. Some of these are less talked about and i think im not the only one who would like to hear about them.

I ❤ this topic! Thanks, Julian! It's refreshing to hear a legitimate, respectful conversation! Of course, I would expect nothing less from you! People are commenting for you to interview Ammon. I think Ammon's bullshit has been extremely damaging. He preys upon people that are culturally anti-religious but ignorant of religion. I mean....His audience believes that they're supposed to be anti-religious in order to other themselves from the stereotypical "right-wing" Christian. However, they don't actually know enough about it to make an informed judgement. Unfortunately, these same people, mostly younger men, are struggling in this culture and economy; struggling to find meaning in life. It breaks my heart! Ammon is the real "predator," in my opinion.

Constantine was a Political opportunist. If he were a real Believer, then he would have never intertwined Paganism with Christianity. It was an obvious ploy to keep power long term, because most of the population was made up of Pagans & Christians. (Jews were the minority) He took the pagan festival of the Ottoman empire and mixed it into Christianity. Move to the Saturnella❗ Go cut down a tree in the woods and place it in your house {something the Bible specifically rebukes} then decorate it and use other flamboyant objects, as to so called grace your house! What's wild is - - that some 1700 Years later, a billion or so Christians & Catholics are still sleep walking into that pit❗ This makes Roman Emporer Constantine; in my opinion - the GOAT; in manipulation tactics' Whoaa!!

i like julian but a few things i notice are; he nods in agreement and says "yes" to understanding certain points when it's clearly evident he does not know what's happening. another thing is julian's forced laugh, it's not real. just laugh when you need to, don't fake it, cringey af. another thing is that julian can't seem to follow the conversation, he gets dates, figures, ppl and places all wrong when he tries to bring up other points. he's like danny jones, except danny is a natural dummy that never claims or postures to be anything but that. danny learns as he goes, julian always comes across as if he thinks we think he's super smart. i like the pod, but i can't help noticing deep personality traits that grind my gears
