I feel like they’ll win in the end the whole point of this since dawn of x was to stop krakoa from falling and saving their paradise after several timelines of failure. The fall is probably symbolic of changes coming once the man-machine ascendency starts to rise like Charles Xavier permanently dying to save the dream or losing his reputation with his people.

@fatinachen1888 oh, I'm sorry, did big bad Hickman mess with your precious status quo. The X-Men had been doing the old Mansion thing for years and it was getting stale. Getting more of that wasn't going to pull tgem back from the edge of obscurity. Krakoa was the one thing every single other comic book is allergic to, something new. And with stories like Sabertooth, X-Men Red, Immortal X-Men, Marauders (first run), Sins of Sinister, I can't see how they ruined everything. Is the problem the fact that it made a lot of characters happier and healthier? If that's not your flavor, just go read Amazing Spider-man

anyone actually reading should know that if krakoa is destroyed by the hellfire gala, there is still arakko. I still like the mutant naion idea, I think best way to still keep it is if the mutant nation/island is moved to the cosmic side whilst various mutants and x-men make their base on earth but are still able to travel to the mutant nation.

It is still part of the Krakoan eras. Immortal X-Men still takes place on Krakoa as per the map and X-Men Red is still on Arakko. Most of the stories pick up right after Destiny of X though with some new twists and elements of course.

And yet, mutants are killed, attacked, hunted for parts,etc. One nation was built, 16 million mutants are killed. Another nation is built, it's constantly under attack till the mutants abandon it. Mutant Outreach centers, attacked. Schools, attacked. When 90% of the mutant population disappeared, the rest of them were hunted down like animals. There's only so much people can take. And this wasn't acting like they were above humans, this was building a home and not caring

I grew up with and collected the 'uncanny' from early 1980s to early 1990s...and I am forever greatful for the stories, the comics and the many lawns mowed to buy the comics, evading my dad's punishment for misdeeds by forbidding me from buying a few comic books only for me to buy them anyways and smuggle them home by tucking them under my shirt or under the car seat. THAT was an adventure unto itself! I hope this current generation enjoys them as much as I did...respect your parents! but nothing like secretly keeping up with the x-men adventures!
