Yup, up here in Canada I was melting about a week ago and this week has dropped a good 10 degrees Celsius (no idea the Farenheigt equivalent). Today is cooler, cloudy and windy....loving the break from the heat

I love hot weather. But yesterday I was thinking about starting to decorate for Christmas (which I NEVER do early), because the lights, bling, and ornaments are so cheerful. There's so much tragedy and heartbreak in the world right now -- it's shocking!!! We all need cheering up. We need to keep ourselves and each other safe and hopeful, with kindness, generosity, and a sense that we're all in this together. Fall is my favorite time of year! It's not too hot and it's not too cold. I love it when the temperature is warm enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt but also cool enough for long sleeve shirts and pants. And frankly I hate the humidity and heat of the summer. When it gets into the 90s I just want to die.

Yeah, we have monsoons in AZ in the late summer so it brings most of the years rain kind of all at once. During that time it gets really humid. Then it’s still triple digits pretty much until Halloween.

Here in DC, on Sept. 2nd, It's in the high 60's and I'm looking forward to taking a nice walk. I've learned from personal experience though to wait until mid-October at least to move my long sleeved shirts to the front of my closet. That said, I love Fall! The leaves turning, the cooler temps, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, etc. Wherever you are, stay safe.

I lived in New England for years and then PA and all my hopes and dreams for Fall were fully realized- was gloriously happy - but now we live in the paradise of the Gulf Coast of FL which is amazing until Sept, Oct and Nov arrive!!!! Spot on!😂 Two days ago I put up ALL of our fall decorations. Busted out the Pumpkin Spice, Hazelnut, & Spiced Cider candles & lit em all at once. But the kids came in & said, “ It smells SO good in here!”, so that justified it. I even put up the Thanksgiving decorations they made when they were in Kindergarten because hey, after all it is September!🍁
