I went to see them on the mania tour just after our arena reopened, it was bombed, and I and everyone else was extremely thankful they lsft out the bangs. They literally only did like two and you could hear people caught of guard screaming. I was in the women's bathroom for one of the bangs, right by where it happened and it caused absolute chaos. After that they didn't do anymore and stuck with pyro. We genuinely appreciated it. Those bangs still make my blood run cold. My partner was head of security for the massive complex nextdoor and it was traumatising for us and everyone in our city. Being just a couple of months after reopening everyone was on edge and scared of loud bangs, the fact they managed to still get the crowd hyped up and involved, and were willing to redesign their show fir our city earned them A LOT of respect. They were reconfiguring in real time and reacting to the audience. Also Pete was a sweetheart and such a dad. 😂 It was a super cold freeze, -10c and he came out and signed stuff so people weren't going to be waiting in the freezing cold. Their tean gave me a free hoodie and shirt because despite having 10 layers and 3 blankets I was still absolutely freezing in my wheelchair 😂 They were just great guys who never forgot where they were and the fears of the community. They got us all to brave our fears and come out to see them, but it still was prominent in everyone's head. Everyone wanted to enjoy the night but couldn't help but be looking iver their shoulders. The fact they got everyone locked into the show was incredible. Many other artists haven't been able to do that. The years have passed so fast it's crazy to realise how long ago it was. Again the vest description is they were such dads. 😂 And it really earned them a LOT of respect.
