Yeah, personally, I think when he says "I miss missing you", he's talking about missing the feeling of wanting somebody. He doesn't necessarily want whoever he's missing, but he wants those emotions again, the ones that he doesn't have anymore. He misses being in love, he misses feeling. It's quite sad, actually.
@sammust48504 жыл бұрын
I feel that. Now that im over my toxic friend. i miss the feeling i got when i was around my old friends. i dont miss them coz i know that in situations they did wrong me, but I miss the relationship type we had where we were very fun and playful and close and very affectionate. i know i wont get that again and i miss it honestly

Everybody talks about the line "the person that you'd take a bullet for is behind the trigger", but can we talk about "baby you were my picket fence"??? What I'm getting from this line is the stereotypical thing that the white picket fence in front of houses represents that you have your life together, but the word "were" really hits me hard because it's like he lost the sense of security, that line just hits real deep
@Kaia_194 жыл бұрын
That’s what it feels like. The picket fence is like the symbolism of the end goal in life. Stability, peace within a household. That person was the end goal. And it just doesn’t work out that way

@magentafyerfield668210 жыл бұрын
It talks about people all the time. Sometimes a relationship is unfair and you invest your heart and soul in someone who doesn't give a shit about you or worse actually has malicious intentions towards you. That line captures that situation better than any other I've ever read, but i don't think it's just "nowadays"

exactly a year ago i sat on my bed, a saturday afternoon, and felt inmensely sad while listening to this song on repeat until it was late in the evenning. i didn't know what was wrong with me, i couldn't (or didn't want to) understand what i was feeling. was it anger? was it sadness? was it just the anxiety? i get anxiety attacks pretty frecquently, so i just assumed it was that. but this strange feeling... i couldn't quite put my finger on it. and just kept on listening to this song, because there was something that i needed out of it. and i kept going and going until tears were streaming down my face and i was clenching my chest, still listening to the music. it was my first heartbreak. i was confused and didn't want to accept it, but seeing her face with someone else... yeah, i now understand. and now, listening to this song again during this time of the year, again, i kind of miss missing her.

This song is exactly how I feel right now. I just today made the hard choice to give up on the one guy I have hoped to be in a relationship with, because he is becoming toxic and there's only so many times I can have my heart broken. I fell in love with the boy who stayed up till midnight talking in the car with me, not the boy who makes me cry in my sleep. I fell in love with the boy who would play chess with me for hours, not the one who thinks I exist for his amusement. I still love him but I don't want to see him. Hence, I Miss Missing You, my love and my torment. but your not the same person I fell in love with.

Honestly, all I can say is this is truly one of the most far reaching and daring albums I have ever listened to. I honestly think this blows Takes This To Your Grave out of the water. Their creativity, and bold style continues to evolve and they are taking risks in their writing that they never would have done ten years ago, and it works in all the right ways. What other band/artist could produce a cd with pop, r&b, dubstep, and rap still make every song as amazing as the last. Well done FOB.

You guys know that its not just about a toxic relationship right? I used to see it that way as well as someone is going to shoot you which represents a relationship gone wrong and then being toxic and stabbing u in the back, but theres also another meaning. if u look at the lyrics around it the whole quote is "sometimes before it gets better the darkness gets bigger, the person that you'd take a bullet for is behind the trigger". its saying you would take a bullet for someone if it was aimed at them, but they are the one thats behind the trigger aimed at them. its a suicide reference talking about how things always will get worse before it gets better, but sometimes people cant handle the bad and cant wait for it to pass so they turn to suicide. im pretty sure its a reference for when pete tried to commit suicide too.

Rock and Roll. It's everything. Elvis, The Beatles, Journey, AC/DC, Green Day, etc. Rock and Roll is today's music. Anyway, Pete said this in an interview with TIME: "When we were planning coming back, I envisioned reviews like, [sarcastically] ‘They came back to save rock and roll.’ Maybe the idea is we’re not trying to save big-R rock ‘n’ roll because big-R rock ‘n’ roll is a thing. But we do want to promote little-R rock ‘n’ roll, which is an attitude, a perspective on life."
