2005 was a great time to be an emo kid. I got to see Fall Out Boy, A7X, Emery, Dropkick, Emery, Motion City Sountrack, MCR, and got introduced to a little indie band that became on of my favs (The Hanks), all at festival. With how ticket prices are nowadays, I don't know if Gen Z or Alpha will ever have experiences like that.

To all the people who are STILL talking shit about Pete, yes he used to be arrogant and yes he was always the centre of attention and the one that always spoke the most in interviews but that was because Patrick was ridiculously shy! He's said it time and time again, but since they came back he's spoken about how Pete has helped him with his confidence and shown him that he is important. That shows the change in Pete and how less self absorbed he is, and he admits how arrogant he used to be!

This song makes me so happy and nostalgic. I will never forget the Summer I learned to drive...From Under the Cork Tree was on repeat in the CD player and my mom would yell at me for singing along and "not paying attention." Lol I was a lousy driver, but DETERMINED to get my license, even after crashing the car at a drive thru. It was the best Summer of my pre-adult years and some of the best memories with my mom :')

your teenagers have a good taste in music dont let their minds get brainwashed by the media to listen to that mainstream,over-played crap. This is coming from a 15 year old who hates this generations music with a passion excluding good music like rock&roll, metal, screamo and other good stuff

I don't get it why do people say that Pete was out of tune. The bass sounded pretty normal to me

It's faint, but it is flat. Although, you really have to have the ear for it to know so it's not a problem.

the actual tuning is Drop D which is what the bass is tuned to here. most people play it in the D tuning so I guess it just sounds strange to people not used to it

I'm so happy that there are other people out there that realize that just because all the pop artists these days use auto tune in their music the real talent is in bands like Fob and paramore etc.

After they finish the song they are all just standing there like "What the fuck are we supposed to do now?" and they don't even do anything about it.

i remember being really close with this chick on myspace whom was on the music video for this song.... crazy how many people we grew close with on myspace whom we have no possible contact with anymore. myspace was such a tremendous thing in it's prime. wish it never died :/

This beautiful singer at the front started out as the drummer. Can we just appreciate him and sure his words were hard to make out at some points. Me personally has no problems whatsoever and if petes bass was out of tune his emoness makes up for him. Let Andy mouth the words along and let joe jump up and down and head bang bc the old fetus band was cute and amazing as fuck. So take my 13 year old perspective on one of my fav bands and leave them the fuck alone.
