I guess I’m one of the few that loves fall and winter and do not like summer. I love the snow, the cloudy dreary days when it rains . I love looking outside nd seeing a foggy day. My dad says I’m crazy. lol.summer is beautiful if I don’t have to go out. I have. Illness that flares up and is painful when the weather is hot and humid. And it’s that in Kentucky during the summer. I admire in a nice. lol house. I love your channel. It’s so peaceful to watch.

Thanks Mary. I'm doing the same thing just now. Cutting my hostas, butterfly bushes, hydrangeas, dead heading. Putting my cushions away, storing my patio furniture. I have a nice birdbath, and bird feeders. I just added a new birdhouse. I love my summer flowers and veggie plants. I hate to see them go but fall is pretty too. I don't like the winter months, there to long and cold but we must have that hibernation time. Blessings to all. 😊❤🙏🙏🌻🍁🍂🐈🐈⬛ Pamela/NJ

✍Hello Mary...I used to love taking care of my flower gardens but with my age (79) and serious health problems I just put potted plants in beautiful planters for the Spring and Summer months💐 I've always loved the look of Holly with its beautiful berries and when my husband was still living we also planted Holly around our yard but after he passed away I was starting to not be able to do all that yard work requires to have a nice looking yard so I had my son-in-law dig them out and gave them to him to plant around their property. I love your kitty 🐾so cute and seeing you pet and love on him while you're working outside. I really admire you and John. You plant flowers, shrubbery, trees, etc not only for yourselves to enjoy but also for the birds etc to enjoy. I live in the Barberton-Norton area of NE Ohio. My oldest daughter (60) used to have a summer place in the country down in Kimbolten and spent every summer for almost 30 years there but we sold it 2 years ago cause taking care and maintaining 2 homes was becoming way too hard for us. I really enjoy your videos and looking forward to your next one. Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio🌹

I love birds, too. Years ago, we learned that they loved powdered habanero powder on their seed - squirrels hate it, so more for the birds, plus habanero powder kills parasites, so win-win for the birds.... we grow our own peppers - if you do that, next year, make certain you were gloves when you harvest and IF you dehydrate your peppers, don't even think about doing that indoors.... I did that the first time ... the silver lining was that we didn't see any insects indoors for months... the down side was that it took a long time to air out our house.

Sweet precious lady, whew, please, please be extra careful with that new trimmer. A bit over a year ago, I was trimming shrubs for my mother in law and in a split second I accidentally stuck my hand into the blades and nearly cut my index finger off. Four and half hour surgery, weeks and weeks of physical therapy later, I can somewhat feel my crooked finger. I bought a new trimmer that will only run if BOTH hands are in the correct, safe position. I truly enjoy your inspiring videos and hope to come visit there soon. Stay safe and keep up the wonderful work!

"We" got a lot done! My cleanup is mainly leaves and pine straw(needles) so it stays down until too much for the grass. I love to rake and the results but sometimes I get a grabbing feeling in my back so it takes me much longer, having to take breaks. Grateful not to have rocks. We have lots of acorns so not sure if that means a hard Winter ahead. Enjoy all your blessings and thanks for sharing.

Wisteria makes a beautiful wreath!!! I have a friend that had a wisteria vine growing along her back fence where she used to live; she would call me every year when it was time to prune it and I would take the vines home and make wreaths; I love to use honeysuckle too it has peeling bark and that is probably my favorite; they are all very pliable and can be woven into wreaths very easily, just like they do with grapevines. I don't just wind them around in a circle like the ones you get at the stores, I weave mine in and out with pieces of the vines; when I add the next piece I weave it in the opposite direction. If any of the vines start to dry out and aren't pliable enough you can place them on a tube of water and that usually does the trip.

Just curious Mary, did you add wood ash from your fire pit to the Tulips that you planted? My mom always added it to her Tulip Bulbs when she planted in the fall, called it “potash”. Her Tulips were always so strong and put out the largest most bright flowers every spring. Oh, and she always added bone meal. Not a lot of either if I recall, just a light dusting of both.
