Old Time Pottery looks like a great store to just wander around in! 😍While most of your viewers don’t care what you call the sauce used with pasta, myself included, I thought I’d share this fun fact. My great grandparents immigrated from Italy and so I was told that they called it gravy… don’t think that’s an authentic Italian term, but more of an Italian-American term that immigrants started to use. So feel free to add “gravy” to the list of choices just to confuse things more. 😂

We have Old Time Pottery about 45 minutes from us and the first time I went, years ago, I almost had a heart attack at the quantity of amazing home decor they had! In New Jersey we call it pasta sauce. We're not Italian but, a true Italian will call it gravy. If they're a true Italian, they're probably making the pasta sauce from scratch because using it out of a jar would be a sin, lol. Sometimes after I've made a london broil and we have leftovers, the next day I cut it up into small pieces and throw it in some pasta sauce and have it with pasta. If you've ever had braciole (sounds like brizzole), the sauce with the cut up london broil tastes just like it! Yum! I love your channel, recipes, decor ideas, and especially that your not afraid to mention your faith :) Keep up the great job! :)

Hey Jessica. I have a pantry in our beach house in Ocean Drive just about identical to your pantry. What we did was we got the white wire shelves from Lowes and put them on the inside of the pantry door. We fitted different ones all down the door and it holds a ton of spices; cooking spray, seasonings etc. Now my shelves are organized and we can see everything we need. Hope this helps.

I have never heard of Olde Time Pottery but I just found out I have one semi close. You two should go camping in Cumberland Gap it’s beautiful. Add red pepper flakes to your pasta water, adds more flavor. Spaghetti sauce.

If you really want to ump your "spaghetti" sauce----add a packet of the spaghetti sauce mix---it really adds more flavor---We have spaghetti every Tuesday at my house....I do semi homeade---meat, onions and peppers, tomato sauce, tomatoes, italian seasoning, garlic, salt, then add the packets of spaghetti sauce mix---tastes like homeade

In my Italian American household we just call it sauce. If we are making pasta it is a given what the sauce is. However if the sauce is something specific we would say that for example pasta with pesto, bolognese, etc. if it is marinara we just say sauce. Lol. I never said spaghetti sauce bc like Mr Bunky says it can go on any pasta! So sauce or pasta sauce works for me. (I’m sure you heard there is a whole argument amongst Italian Americans about whether it is sauce or gravy which can get pretty heated. I grew up calling it gravy but at some point switched to calling it sauce. 🤷🏼‍♀️)
