The Corn Flakes on top of that casserole reminded me of when I was growing up, my mom used crushed up corn flakes for the tops of casseroles and she used poorly crushed up corn flakes for our fried chicken lol

Those side dishes look so delicious! I’m not sure about the grits though…we have cornmeal here in Canada but not grits…it looks like they are a bit different. I would certainly try them though if I had the chance.

Cornstarch right in the sausage and milk that way you get the sausage grease.

I’d definitely say it is the vinegar you’re adding. I use 2% milk and vinegar and make homemade buttermilk all the time. 😊
