i can’t not do super hot showers in winter here 😭 lol but i always seal in my moisture with lotion on my damp skin as soon as i get out into the steam

I love your videos! Great quality with science-backed advice. I would love to see a video about which active ingredients can be together and which should be avoided due to interactions or canceling each other out. I’m trying to figure out how to best use Vit C, ferulic acid, retinoid, peptides, ceramides, niacinimide, Argireline, A/B hydroxy acids, etc. for my morning and evening routines. Thanks!

I know my questions isn’t specific to this video but is it possible you could give advise in a video specifically regarding the issues surrounding the effects of pre/post menopause for someone with rosacea & what skin treatments & skin care you would recommend. I know my skin doesn’t react well to central heating especially in the Winter as it dries out my skin. So I up my hydration levels via specific skin creams & drink more water. I have also started getting a course of skin boosters such as the Lumi Skin Booster which provides hydration. I’m also thinking of getting a collagen skin booster as I’m approaching my perimenopause I know I’m unable to have chemical peels or certain energy devices as it will cause my sensitive skin & rosacea to flare up so I feel the choices available to me & others in a similar situation are limited. However, it’s incredibly difficult trying to get advise on what we could try by a professional such as yourself. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you x

Hi Dr. Kappel, happy fall! Another excellent and informative video. So, my question is regarding makeup removal. I am a Chicana who loves to rock full-on Day of the Dead makeup for Halloween and I also enjoy wearing classic heavy black eyeliner + mascara day to day. Now that I am older however, I have massively scaled back on eye makeup bcz I do not want to stress the delicate skin around my eyes trying to remove it. Do you have any advice on removing heavy makeup, what type of product is best and least harmful so I can to protect the skin I have worked so hard to care for (thank you MDAiRE!!!)? Also, for those of us who enjoy eye makeup, should we limit the wear of heavy eyeliner + mascara? For instance, now I only doll up on lab days 😂. Lastly, shout out to my school, the University of Washington and Dr. David Baker who won the 2024 Nobel Prize for computational protein design!
