I'm glad that you posted again. That is a shame that insurance won't cover your operation. Hopefully something will work out for you. That's the sorry state of affairs in this country when it comes to health insurance. I also hope that you can work your way through your social anxiety and go back to in person schooling. Take care and be well.

Richest country in the world, 15.6 trillion GDP .... won't provide it's citizens with good healthcare! Disgraceful really. The NHS in England is falling apart and hasn't been useful for like 10 years now. But in Sweden / Norway / Denmark (Scandanavia), every citizen gets amazing healthcare provided by their income tax. People say the tax in Scandanaivia is high (40%) but for that money they get LOTS Of good benefits - including 1st class healthcare.

I'm really sorry to hear about the os trigonum, even more sorry about the money side of the medical option. If you're in the US, healthcare here is such a joke. If you're outside the US, sorry it's still an issue for you there. I'm glad you're trying to stay focused, though. We humans are like a... liquidy soup. When a bad ingredient gets mixed in, even if it's a small misfortune, there's no way to remove it. The only thing you can do is add in more better stuff to dilute the bad. Learning is by far the best option, but staying busy with hobbies and trying to have more engaging experiences that you share with others are great, too. From the outside here, it looks like you're doing a great job dealing with the medical news and with your anxiety. I hope you feel like you're doing well grappling with it all. Stay focused on your goals and surround yourself with good people, and I'm sure you'll get the better of any bad situations.
