I think this might be an explanation: So basically in this staircase going down means you are going into future and going up means you are going back to your past. A young girl is seen smoking smth it might be weed that'swhy she fell (assumption) actually she has already died in future but her ghost first goest down the staircase to see her falling down from the building but she can can multiple versions of herself falling repetedly that's because she's in a specific instant of time when she falls to her death, she feels scared and goes back upward to warn her past self about the danger of smoking or under the influence of drug but as she's a ghost her banging on the door made no sound or influence of her past self.... basically she might be in a purgatory or so

The illusion was about the infinity death loop which has no ending. Actually, she was in a illusionary world which doesn't exist and have no similarity of reality. That's it.
