GM Daniel King is well known in the chess world as a wonderful trainer and a commentator. Although he has stopped playing professionally, when he was an active player he used to meet 1.e4 exclusively with 1...c5! The Sicilian was and still is his favourite opening and the Najdorf variation is what he fell in love with.
King has played 97 games with the Najdorf in his chess career and has even beaten the great Vishy Anand with this opening! In this session he will explain to you the key concepts of the opening and tell you as to how he fell in love with the Sicilian Najdorf!

No offense to this fellow, but I want to hear Daniel's voice or Seriwan's voice because I'm hearing impaired and I've got a bit better chance to understand their butchery of the English language,

I watched this to the end of the first game around 47 mins in. Maybe I'm atypical but I would've enjoyed this so much more without the constant flow of digressions and interruptions. Thank you anyway for this cool video on the Najdorf!

Growing up, I had this AMAZING book on the Najdorf that made me completely fall in love with it. I play it 100% against e5. I'm a bit rusty and am wanting to improve, so I find this video. Part of the way through, I realize it's with the LEGEND that wrote the book! Pretty amazing. Definitely checking out the recommended playlist!

A funny moment in the chat was when somebody asked if they'd cover the English attack , somebody else "corrected" him and chided him to go read the title, it's about the Najdorf xD

@@venkateshs4953 Yeah I know that, hence it was funny..I meant the "correction" part was funny, not the original comment

Good content but why host keeps interrupting the flow of the GM with unnecessary stuff. It’s really distracting and could have been much better without the distractions here and there. Good content again.

Overall good video but the host is unfortunately bad at his job - interrupting too much. You can tell how annoyed Daniel was.
