Ronnie is really killing it with these. I heard a rumor, he might be doing this with all the songs on The Drug in Me is You album. I didn’t expect this one to work so well compared to the original but WOW. He really shows off his range in these. The videos are beautiful. Seeing Paige was great, she’s gorgeous. I feel like I watched a movie. So glad you guys enjoyed it. 😊 I also was like “Woah, is that Jeffree Star?!” In the original video. Never noticed til now. 😅

You got to watch their trilogy: 1. “Losing my mind” 2. “Losing my life” 3. “Drugs” If I remember correctly Talk about showin how Ronnie has grown from the early days. Trust me, it will make a great reaction video/ set of videos. (And of course “the drug in me is you” and the reimagined verse.... stunning)

Back in 2010 I thought it’s funny how the fashion will cycle back. When I first saw them I instantly thought 80’s glam. Very Motley Crue look. Today I see kids Rock’n 80’ and 90’s look.

The revamped version sounds and looks like it should have originally been made that way from the beginning. When you listen to the original version I find a huge disconnect with the lyrics because of how it's being sung. The lyrics are actually really tragic and heartfelt, being sung with a happy vibe. And that's where I feel... meh. I mean, if people find themselves enjoying th energy in the original version. That's dope. I just much prefer the revamped version. It has a more genuine energy to it
@jeffymetal941

I’m a former addict myself and I have a connection to both. The revamped is a Ronnie whose taking his lyrics seriously and facing his demons, whereas the original is more so him looking at it as fun and like a borderline personality trait which I did for the first 3 years I spent fucked up. It’s a common transition for many so I’m thankful he released the new one

I'm not sure about your gender neutral look coming from the scene kids theory. The look was inspired by the 80th/90th hair metal bands after all. Or do you mean, that it was more accepted with/after the scene? I don't really think so either. But honestly... I never heard about "the scene/scene kids" until last summer and had a completely wrong conception about what emos were about. Ronnie did indeed "invent" this look. He wanted a look, nobody had at this time and combine it with music, people didn't associated with it.

Literally the only person to point out that she has been (repeatedly) trying to escape him throughout the entire relationship. His self-absorption couldn't allow him see her unhappiness. I personally think she stepped into the sun to escaped her cursed existence, not so much her love for him was so great she couldn't live without him. 😅 1. Dude had her cleaning up blood (ie his mess) while under his enthrall... 2. She was essentially a ghost in the relationship (neglected), and once she realized her passive role in his destruction of both self and others she Off'd herself - only to be brought back as his replacement self! ~ I mean, I guess that's a gesture of love to a narcissist. 😂 I have obsessively watched this video for hours. When you shouted, "No, she doesn't want..." I realized that I too was guilty of disregarding her. 😬 She was just a beautiful, ghostly vision. Nothing more. Now when I Rewatch I watched her and listen to him. The story from her perspective is not at all romantic. It's lonely, unfulfilling, controlling, and terrifying. Brava for giving much needed perspective.

Radke was always into the 80s Motley Crue era, and that's the look he portrayed through out Escape The Fate, and the beginning of Falling In Reverse. He was just trying to look like Nikki Sixx. Plus the "scene" look was older than that. The earliest I've seen of it would be the Sonny Moore (Skrillex) era of From First To Last. Another close "first to be scene" could be argued about the first couple albums from The Used, and My Chemical Romance.

If you want more re-done songs I highly suggest checking out Black Veil Brides if you havent yet. They completely re-recorded their entire first album. I suggest listening to the original and new versions of Carolyn because I feel its the one that has the most change while still being the same song, and/or check out The Morticians Daughter which basically isnt even the same song anymore but is absolutely beautiful (theres so many string instruments!) Or check out the old, old accoustic, and new versions of Knives And Pens. If you check out Morticians Daughter I know you will want to know why its so different, the answer is: Andy wrote it about a relationship he was in at the time and no longer felt a connection to the song and felt that doing the completely different thing they did fit within the context of the rest of the album and BVBs discography more.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the scene kids when I was in high school because i saw it as a shittier version of emo which was already a shittier version of the Goth scene which is what I identified with. (keep in mind I was an shitty opinionated teen before you flame me). But recently I’ve gone back to listen to some of these songs and I can see some of the appeal even if it isn’t my cup of tea.
