Just thinking the same right before I saw your comment. I have only recently discovered Falling In Reverse and have been astonished at the change I have had in my ideas about music. i "NEVER" even considered Rap or Metal ... "screaming" really? ... All of those "kinds" of music have always been "somewhere else" and I never heard it .. never wanted to hear it... Different Radio Stations. Different sections of the record store (or whereever things are purchased or selected these days) I see now all of these things have been walls. I think many of the artists don't like it so much as it highlights that they are only one note. There is an entire symphony of music that is waiting. Thank you for listening and seeing that. So exciting.
@jeffsorrows6 ай бұрын
@@donnakurtz9293 a year late but the metal world welcomes every new member, if you like this channel he did react to Slipknot's Spit it out, and at the end of the concert Corey Taylor (singer) says "Take care of yourself and take care of each other" and funny enough in the early 2000's Slipknot was banned from my city since there was a rumor of looking for a volunteer to commit suicide on stage, metal/rock gets a bad image, but really most people take care of each other, even in the mosh pits, if you fall someone will pick you up! it's a great community and also once dropped my phone at a concert in 2008 and while I looked for it someone tapped me and gave me my phone back from 2 rows back! Everyday a metalhead is born and hope you've been enjoying more music!

I've been a fan of Ronnie since his days in Escape the Fate, but I've never been more proud of him than I was when I saw how his daughter changed him. I always loved his music, but there was something missing in him. When you go back and listen to his old stuff, and even see him in old interviews, it's obvious. However, ever since his daughter came into the world you can see that he is the best that he has ever been. Just goes to show what true, unconditional love is capable of.

The thing I love about this song, as someone who battles with depression and that sense of hopelessness, is that they weren't afraid to just outright include the whole questioning your faith and your God [if you believe in one]. I'm a spiritual person, but when I'm down to that point where I feel depression just clawing at me, and there's no way out, no end in sight, I do question my faith. I know better, but when you're in that state of mind, you don't really think, you just lash out and act.

Fucking love this channel man. Goosebumps to the fucking max exactly when you said it. Side nerd note: Not everyone gets goosebumps when listening to music or watching videos. It has to do with how your brain is wired. The lyrics are so damn powerful for anyone who’s gone through the deepest, darkest depths of depression. The “where the fuck is your god now!?” Line is perfectly placed in the song. The moment where you finally lose control and can’t take it anymore and scream at the heavens like, “where the fuck is (my) god now”. In the heat of the moment where you just blast everything as you can’t contain the sadness and depression and anger. It’s perfection. What a story this song tells musically and lyrically.

You realise that the phrase is used with the tone that there is noone to help you, there is no god? Grabbing a crucifix after that is like clinging to a hope that will never come.

@@blacknemesy Dear lord what a way to bring the dark atmosphere. For fairness, Lets all remember we are all different and love the song because it relates to all of us feeling like we rather let loose on the world because of how broken and hurt we are from depression and what gos on around us.

I am a devote Christian, and also a devote metal/rock fan... and this song hits me on a level that no other music has. I suffer from PTSD due to a decade long extremely abusive marriage. God was my only hope. I would never mock someone for not believing. Ever. We are all here because this song unites us.. stop trying to pull up any negative to cause more separation. While many Christians would cringe at this song, I see it as an intensely personal, deep, and turmoil filled story. What someone believes is irrelevant to exactly what Ronnie is doing here. He is expressing HIS pain.. we can all relate to pain. He is shedding light on some of the darkest thoughts that people who suffer from mental illness have... don’t use his message and vulnerability to twist into your vendetta against What someone may or may not believe.

Not only do you have a comedy side to you but you KNOW what you're talking about when it comes to music. You mix intelligence with comedy and honesty. I'm now a subscriber to your channel. I'll be watching your reactions to metal, punk, hardcore, metalcore etc. I hope (Ronnie Redke) the singer sees this. He does his own reactions to other peoples reactions. I've gotta do a double take and replay this!

You see the problem here, don't you? We have lived in a society that broke music down into separate genres rather than just realizing there's music and then there's noise. You have to create genres when there is mass produced noise so that people can identify with it. But real music, music like this, music like Eminem, music like what Johnny Cash produced before they ruined country. That didn't need a name because you felt it run through you. I suppose for all the flaws in my life I got to experience actual music, I've gotten to see art. I haven't had to pretend to identify with garbage just because it was popular. It's not all of me, but it's enough of a part that I'll never apologize for hating the award shows and loving when I find something new.

One of my favorite things about pits is the split second after the lights go down, when the music first kicks in, when the circle first surges open. Seeing the looks on people faces and thinking "they have no idea what's about to happen". God do I miss pits 😭 it's totally other worldly to just give into bouncing off of other people to sick ass music 🤘🤘
