Close bro. This is how I see it. It’s Popular Monster. He gets outta jail. Losing My Mind He still wants to party and be him. Losing my Life. He is a father and wants to be a good one now. Drugs. Drugs are good but he has to quit. Voices in my Head. He has to kill all his voices, vices, habits. Watch the World Burn. All his haters must die. Last Resort. He’s depressed. Suicidal. But runs away from it. Recharges and the world rebuilds. But he still has his alter ego. His inner demon… Ronald. Ronald. The haters find him again but he breaks free. His guardian angel talks to him telling him he’s got it wrong about god but he still has to fight his inner demon. The guardian angel sends him to the lowest level of Ronnie’s hell. Where he finds the Balrog Pitboss, Alex the Terrible, AKA Ronnie’s Evil Alter Ego Inner Demon…. RONALD.

Can't blame them because this was a completely unexpected approach from Ronnie. Usually it starts with either a melodic- operatic style( remastered or revamped) or a calm or heavy rap style which transitions into metal, but I was not expecting this.

I knew Tech Nine was coming as soon as clips were released of him backstage at FIR shows. I wanted an Alex collaboration after seeing Alex do the breakdown to Watch the World Burn at a live show. I wanted it to contrast Ronnie’s typical vocals though and this entire song was hard, but I’ll take it. The Queen insertion between purgatory and hell helped provide that separation I think.

Tech was talking about evil in the world from the Vegas shooter to John Mohamed (DC Sniper) to Ed Gein (serial killer). I think the sex change comment was a reference to the Nashville school shooter. Seen a lot of comments that was a transphobic line but if someone wants to defend a murderer of children in a Catholic school, I guess they can try.
