I have the Odin and the Frej. And let me tell you, don't be afraid to thump on that Odin. I put it through some serious sh*t and it held up fine. I just had to test it to justify the price tag. My biggest concern was the hilt getting loose. But I've accidentally bashed the hilt many time when I got the knife stuck in big logs. As beautiful as they are, they are made to be used.

Beautiful blade ! you deserve more views. What is yours thoughts about 3v steel beetween Bark river and Lt Wright brand ?
@shane41767 жыл бұрын
Ben Ray hmm never had a Lt In 3v, but the rest of the steels they use are top notch with their heat treat. I would expect it's great stuff. As far as bark river 3v, second to none. My 1st bark river in 3v seemed a bit to hard. The new stuff is magic.

Thanks for the review of the knife; but I am convinced that a smaler knife, a saw, and a good axe are the way to go.

I agree thats what I always take to the woods. Its gets the most work done. A huge knife is just not ideal.

so if you are making feather sticks with a small knife near the guard because that is all the blade you have why would you not do the same with the odin. You were shaving closer to the tip. Makes no sense. A big knife you feather near the ricaso. Gives you the same leverage as a small knife. The big knife has so much more bushcraft use however. It can do much the small knife cant. Baton, chop, hack brush, etc.
