Do check out the 1994 movie 'Heavenly Creatures' based on a true crime that happened in New Zealand in the 1950's between two teenage girls, who murdered one of the girls mother. Melanie was one of the main characters. Which was directed by Kiwi Peter Jackson and also written by Peter Jackson & his wife Fran Walsh. Peter Jackson made Lord of the Rings trilogy movies and also the Hobbits... and King Kong and many others. Many kiwis made it into the big time here is a few... Sam Neil, Martin Henderson, Karl Urban, Temuera Morrison, Marton Csokas & Rose McIver... 🙂.*
