Yeah, I miss Pat Morita too. I met him when I was working in a Pub. One day before he left, he was feeling a bit uneasy, which was just a few months before he passed away. Just a few days before that I got him to autograph my DVD box set of all 4 Karate Kid Movies. He even signed "Mr Miayagi" along with his name after I had told him how my cousin first introduced me to the original movie. My cousin said Ray, you got to see this movie. This kid reminds me of you as a kid when he is walking into the ocean, getting hit by the waves and falling off balance. I knew exactly what he was talking about because one of my relatives has some old film clips of that. Not to mention, I actually grew up as a skinny Italian American kid from Newark. On the last night that I saw him, he was invited to go on stage with the band that was playing there that night. It was a free show for the public. Morita put on a little Karate Kid type skit that night, uttering phrases from the movie, singing Oh, Danny Boy for the Irish band saying, Wax on Wax off and stuff. He was a riot!! Then at the end of the night, as he got up to leave, he asked me to assist him in walking him down the steps in the pub. He wasn't feeling well. After I walked him out, Bam! It dawned on me. The scene from the movie came to mind when Daniel helped him to bed after he had a few drinks. That scene has always been a very emotional scene for me to watch, even before that day.

Just watched season 1, and was hooked. Season 2 is freaking awesome, can’t wait for season 3 now. Cobra Kai is very well written, and it’s like a breath of fresh air in an era full of so many good tv series competing for ones attention.. Needless to say Cobra Kai stands out I enjoyed every second, loved every nostalgic episode.. Even though is a 2019 release the tone set you back in that time frame in which so many awesome movies were filmed in the 80’s. Back then movies like Karate Kid didn’t rely much on special effects, it was about good scripts and good old fashioned story telling at its best.

I watched karate kid last night. In the last scene. Johnny says "you're alright larusso", so they are NOT suppose to be enemies. He didnt say it was an illegal kick. They actually became friends at the end. Even the beginning of part 2 when Miyagi saves johnny. Huge plot hole. Maybe johnny just hated all of daniels success afterwards, and THATS what started the rivalry again.

He chose to 🚫 leave the hollywood scene and stopped making more films due to his early exposure to the many downsides of being in the lime light.
