That was an incredibly cool thing that Jimmy did at the end with the lemon tree. I think Keith has seen it all, but he seemed genuinely surprised and delighted by that. The Keith Richards' lemon tree will live on!

Yes I was really touched by that too. Also, That how clear and conversational Keith was able to be, too.. We've all seen ones where no one , not even Keith, knew what he was trying to mumble out as he attempted to answer the hosts questions! Bwahahah! No tonight and the interview Jimmy did with them over in England, was clear too! That was when they released the first track Angry. Anyway what a cool thing to do. Especially now that he has it growing in the Fallon family backyard! Wow he and girls could have a Rock n Roll Lemonade Stand! Serving up a variety of treats with Keith Richards R&R Lemons! Like lemon Drinks hard for adults and soft for others Lemon Squares, Pies, Tarts, Muffins, Breads and even popsicles! Such a cool Rock n Roll Lemon legacy to have! Too bad Zep's "THE LEMON SONG" isn't one of the Stones song's, eh?! Bwahahah! 😘🍋🍆🤛😮😊😂 Anyway bab'eh! Rock n Roll will never Die! 🕊❤🎸🎻🎺🥁🎤🎷🎹😎🎶🤘🏻💞💃🏻

@PlayerToBeNamedLater1973 He really didn't start that open g stones sound until around 1969. He played every song in standard tuning up until about 67-68 and even then the 1st open tunings He used for jumping jack flash and street fighting man was open e. And the way he plays in open g with 3 fingers, one being the bar and the other 2 the extention and repeating the same thing over and over isn't easy on your fingers. In my opinion playing in standard tuning feels much more natural.

Big props to the legendary Keith Richards of the ROLLING STONES! This cat is one of my all-time favorite guitar players and rock n' roll personalities. It's such a joy for me to see and hear this iconic rock star still doing his thang! These cats live for this shit! As a longtime blues student and purist, I was almost moved to tears upon hearing how the Stones got their band name from the great Muddy Waters. I first heard about this from Mick, but it always moves me emotionally. It amazes me that these older wealthy British rockers can still put down some funky Southside Chicago blues! That's what inspired them to become musicians. Long live the Stones and RIP Charlie Watts.

The late great UK musician Lonnie Donnegan brought the blues to Britain from the USA with his LP called Atlantic Blues and the Stones learned about the Blues from that album and when those Stones Blues tracks appeared in the USA then the USA finally woke up to the Blues treasures that were in their own country…….. Lonnie Donnegan was that vital musical catalyst
@zroy9263
@zroy9263 7 ай бұрын
@colinguthrie4634 Yeah, sure! And this English dude also created the blues in the cotton fields and shacks somewhere in England singing about his experiences of oppression, hot sex, drinking, getting his boogie on, and dancing up a storm with all of these soulful and rhythmically talented Caucasian English folks in the juke joints of London! 😆 🤣 😂 😹 He wrote the song Rolling Stone correct?! I've NEVER heard of this big NOBODY that you're talking about, and I've never heard of the Stones talking about him or covering his SO-CALLED original blues! Stop trying to steal Black American art and culture pally!
@zroy9263
@zroy9263 6 ай бұрын
@colinguthrie4634 NEVER HEARD OF HIM! This comment is totally ludicrous! If this unknown catalyst was so important to The Rolling Stones as you claim, then why didn't Keith Richards mention him during this interview?! If this English dude ripped off the true Black American blues musicians in the States and introduced the music to the Stones according to what you're claiming, the TRUE fact is that the Stones studied the history of the music and named their band after a Muddy Waters song and dedicated the last song on Hackney Diamonds to him! Where is Donnegan on this album? I've read about Alex Koerner, a popular radio host introducing the TRUE blues to England.

If I could've been in any band,,,, it would've been the Stones!! They've met everyone who's anyone in the music world. The list would be endless. I pray Keef lives forever ♾️ and the day this man goes on to that big club in the sky will be the saddest day.
