I have seen the “Sweeney Todd” revival twice, and am convinced the sound technicians do not even bother turning on Josh Groban’s mic for the opening line. The applause is just that thunderous and loud, which is one of the best parts of the experience. It really goes to show just how excited everyone is to see this wonderfully weird musical.

I flew from Seattle to NY to see this. There was no way I would miss seeing Josh Groban on Broadway. I missed him the first time, and was not going to do a repeat. What a treat!!! The show was wonderful, funny, surprising. All the performers were prime examples of live theater at its best. If you haven't been to a show yet - go.

Hearing his voice in person isn’t anything like hearing it recorded. It’s amazing how rich it is live! I was a fan of his before seeing Sweeney, but OMG after hearing him sing in that performance I’m obsessed with his music now!

I heard him sing on the Oprah Show. I was in the audience. I'll never forget it! Then, I heard him in my backyard!! I live close to a concert venue in CA and I could hear him! It was shortly after I had moved here. I felt I really was home when I heard his voice!!

You Raise Me Up is my favorite song (he didn't write it but his is my favorite version). And I worked security at a concert of his, and he seems like a really nice person (I didn't meet him, but I mean from hearing him talk on stage) and of course is one of the best singers in the world.

I love Josh Groban! His music has gotten me through a lot of difficult times in my life. I went to his Phoenix concert in 2013 when he did his In the Round tour. And he sounds better LIVE! His voice is magnificent! I have several videos of that concert on my other channel, the official Andy Saenz. I wish I could fly to NYC to see him in action on Broadway! I hope he wins a Tony for his role as Sweeney Todd! He’s criminally underrated in the entertainment industry.

Movies based on Broadway productions have performed very well! Wicked has grossed over $500 Million worldwide! My point is that they should make a movie about Sweeney Todd starring Josh Groban based on the Broadway production. I really want to see it. I just went to see Josh Groban in "Sweeney Todd" on Wednesday. It was the matinee and he and Annaleigh were not there. The understudy was great though. It appears that Josh Groban was doing the "Jimmy Fallon Show" that day (was told that they had covid). If you have a chance, go see "Sweeney Todd." It is an amazing show.

I really wanted to see the original cast one more time (without Jordan Fisher, I'm not a fan of his anyway), but I'm so bummed that Gaten is leaving next week! The show was so good, I'm thankful that I got to at least see it once. Maybe I'll see Josh and Annaleigh one more time before they leave, although I will miss Gaten a lot. He was wonderful! As much as I love when they cast big stars in shows, it also means big prices. I remember pre-COVID wanting to see "Hamilton" and finding out that the tix cost $400 and thinking, "There's no way I can ever pay that much." Now it feels like that's just an average price, at least if you want to sit close.
