She might have been good at that bar, but the one who set up the course did a short one for a onehand trower. she threw doublehanded wich give more speed but less rotation. if the would have backed up about 2 yards the axe would have done a full rotation. A more experienced thrower can compensate by giving the axe extra spin but it takes some practise. So dont give her a hard time when you clearly know less about it than her.

For those who don’t know back in the late 60s, Johnny Carson had on the late actor Ed Ames on an episode who was to perform an axe throwing demonstration. When he accidentally hit the target in the crotch area with the axe it led to uproarious laughter from the audience. There is an abridged clip of this available on KZbin. Unfortunately they cut out the ending where he refers to it as “Frontier Briss” and then after that when asked if he would like a turn to throw comments “I can’t hurt him anymore then you did”. They did include the comment where his says “I didn’t know you were Jewish” shortly after the first but of laughter, a reference the Jewish circumcision.
