I went to see this on Broadway with my Dad two weeks ago. And no joke, at the end of the show, Redmayne was staring at me until the lights went out. I was in the second row of the mezzanine. It was probably the best production I've ever seen. Eddie was incredible and probably my favorite Emcee.

The way this man embodied this role… If you notice right about 8:10 when he says to Jimmy “No, come on. Keep on” Even when he broke character in a minimum amount of time, he still kept the accent and attitude. That’s when you truly spot a worker of art.

The immersive experience and the mix of childlike imagery with the grotesquery and Cabaret depravity makes the show even that more disturbing.
