The woman who played Martha the ghoul, also played the raider in ep. 1 that Lucy shot in the eye with a tranq. She is mostly credited for stunts, but it must be nice for the director to have a stunt person who is more than competent when it comes to acting. Just another example of how good the acting is, not just with the mains and secondaries, but down to the background characters.

By the time the show takes place, many "Mr. Handy" robots have gone at least slightly insane. Plus, "Snip-Snip" was probably re-programmed by those stoner guys, it's a wonder the thing works at all. I'm thinking he's programmed to make sure the specimens are in tip-top condition, so he fixed Lucy's hand.

I would argue that Maximus also has really high luck stats, since he was able to get a critical hit on that bear. Really fun reaction! There's no fudge here

"Lucy didn't react much to getting her finger cut off" - the high pain tolerance of the characters is a theme, and I believe its part of deciding to make the show almost literally like the game itself. ie, your game character might get super low on hit points and limp with a broken limb or something, but they won't succumb to any pain. I believe this TV adaptation adheres to that, and I have found that accepting literal "game mechanics" in the show has dispelled any niggling doubts I had about the show.

She got stabbed in the abdomen, fought off the raider and kept herself together long enough to get a stimpak, back in episode 1. Her pain tolerance is pretty high, especially for someone who'd never been injured before. So I'd say it's been well established that Lucy can take a beating

The one 'unrealistic' element in the TV show is that none of the characters are looting everything that isn't nailed down. 😀

at that point she was exhausted, dehydrated, walking with a bare foot on sand and who knows what. she then gets a brief burst of adrenaline that allows her to run, until she sees the giant crater which makes her pause and then she bite off the ghouls finger. So her not reacting much to the bowie knife removing her finger actually makes real world sense.

The Ghoul probably didn't want to haul a big heavy wooden box around with him, it's not like he has a horse to help him.🙂

I was truly worried this show would be the end of Madison's hair but lukily when things get really stressful slapping the forehead seems to be her go to. Love your reactions and hope to keep supporting you through youtube.

This episode reminds me of Fallout 4 Jamaica Plains which I just replayed today. Took me several deaths to beat them.

The Ghoul reminds me of DODD one of the villains from "Fargo" Season 2. I wonder if that actor auditioned for this role too, he would've been great.

I felt bad for Lucy this episode, losing a finger and having a robot put a dead finger on her stump. Lucy has been through a lot this episode

The misses was totally triggered when Cooper cut off Lucy's finger. I can't say I wasn't when I saw it for the first time. Jeez.
