Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is a turn-based role-playing open world video game developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Productions in September 1998. While featuring a considerably larger game world and a far more extensive storyline, it largely uses similar graphics and game mechanics to those of Fallout.
The game's story takes place in 2241, 80 years after the events of Fallout and 164 years after the war. It tells the story of the original hero's descendant and their quest to save their primitive tribe from starvation by finding an ancient environmental restoration machine known as the Garden of Eden Creation Kit (GECK).
The game was well received by critics, with praise directed at the gameplay, storyline and worthiness as a successor to the original Fallout, while criticism was directed at the frequent bugs and lack of improvement over the first game.

I miss Fallout ( original ) and Fallout 2. They were actually good games. Great story telling, cutscenes, and it’s the truth of probably what would happen in the apocalypse.

Listen here littl Bethasda vanboiis og Fallout had a darker tone and more choice of the player that really had an inpact fallout 3 gunplay was terrible and the ai of enemies was worst than of a grunt from halo tho fallout new vegas was fun and the music was nice fallout 1 and 2 give u a fealing of a dead world and not such storys like wheres my dad or shit i was frozen now i have to find my son wich i wanted to die anyway

@@mjkrh That's fair. Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty much completely different in both gameplay and presentation compared to 3, 4, and even New Vegas--which was made by an offshoot of the original developers. Even still, if you haven't already and you have the time, I recommend watching a play through of the game with narration.

Fallout 1 and 2 are so much better than the Skyrim: Apocalypse Edition games that Bethesda released. From the story, world building and atmosphere, it all goes so well. I truly appreciate starting with Fallout: New Vegas, going to Fallout 4 and then finishing it off with the masterpieces that are the first two games - this play order made me appreciate much more the old games.
