The world of fallout is vast! 27 years in the making (first game came out in 1997) and spanning over 200 years following the apocalypse! Each of the games is it's own self-contained story following different characters, regions, and time periods across a post-nuclear alternate america. I can't wait to see what they do with this show! Looks EXACTLY like the games!

"Everyone wants to save the world.... they just disagree on how." The more I think about it, the more this seems to be a good distillation of the games. Many different factions - some arguably better than others - trying to mend a shattered world as they think best.

It also boils down to the series' most iconic line: "War. War never changes."

I actually think the character is disabusing her of the notion that everyone wants to save the world. The notion that everyone has the best intentions, could not be more polar opposite to this IP. Expect EVERYONE to have moral complications, and for there to never be a morally clear answer to anything.

I don’t want to set the world on fire but I will if this isn’t a banger.

This feels like it MIGHT be close to the original Fallout in terms of the Vault Dwellers journey, thought the rest of it looks like the newer games. In the original, the Vault Dweller came from a vault that had NO contact with the outside world for almost 100 years. Nobody was alive in the vault who remembered life before the vault. They emerged into a world where many survivors of the war and inhabitants of other vaults that opened early had begun building a new world, an EXTREMELY harsh world, where the only real rule was power. After they completed their quest and fought a major threat to the vault in the area, they'd become something else, a threat to the vaults serenity themselves.

I only played a little bit of one of the games so I have a basic idea what it's about but the show looks like it's going to be interesting.

Post Apocalyptic Retro Futurism. It just rolls of the tongue, doesn't it?

You guys need to look up some fallout lore because this takes place in the same universe as the games.

Them showing the bombs drop is gonna be the best part of the show because we’ve only seen it happen once.
