I think there’s an NV mod brings it into the Mojave as a holdout weapon. Can’t remember if it’s .22 or .38. Should’ve been in the game to begin with. I bet if we had more casinos, it would’ve made an appearance.

Let's just take a moment to thank this guy for STILL making Fallout 3 and New Vegas content like this for us. It's kind of like a portal back to the 2000's and 2010's like these games are still new. I just started playing Fallout 4 this year and I'm absolutely loving it. Hoping to see some tier lists on that game in the future!

That's one of my biggest gripes going into fallout 3, coming as an OG fallout fan. We went from all these great weapons in fo2, and tactics, to this very small list of rather goofy looking guns.

I think it's kind of a tradeoff, they have their own unique look. Not always the best, I think one of the best looking weapons that we have gotten in all of the fallouts is the Laser RCW in FNV. Based off a real weapon, but looks cool and scifi.

He's right that it's a tradeoff. Designing guns for 3D takes more time and data, and they had to build the game for the systems of the time. Fallout NV, honestly seemed the best of both worlds. I'm not a fan of the guns in FO4

The .32 revolver (and break actions revolvers in general) would not last long. Sadly the soft point Is the break action, with time of continuous use the locking lugs would deteriorate and the gun would not close properly. Sure, those pistols were designed (the s&w n°3 schofield Is a great example) with the actual lugs beeing interchangable, so no big deal... But not in the wasteland. So unless the gun runners could built up spare parts from scratch, the thing would fail, before or later.

My favorite design is the plasma pistol because on my first playthrough I did an energy weapons build. I used the unique plasma rifle and the unique plasma pistol as my two main weapons. I used the normal plasma pistol first as a starter weapon with the normal plasma rifle until I got the unique versions. My second favorite design is the silenced 10 millimeter pistol because on my second playthrough I ran a sneak build. I used the pistol as a starter weapon until I got the Infiltrator and used those two guns as my main guns.

I think the laser pistol guard is probably for power armor with how wide it is (laser pistols were very popular and modifiable in universe)

I used the 44 magum to eliminate death claw in New vegas and it worked pretty well.

For the .44 magnum I definitely agree that it looks much, much better without the scope. I also prefer the gameplay of not using it with a scope since I prefer the iron sights for close/mid range guns like the revolver, so like in FONV I don't use the scope mod on the .44

Totally agree about the Dart Gun. It's fun to use but I never do because it's so cobbled together and goofy.

the chinese pistol is modeled after the Type 17 which is a Shanxi copy in .45 ACP (same of 1911 and Lighting Shining In The Darkness) which in New Vegas wouldve be in the best handguns category i hate how they did it dirty and make it a low damage handgun still the coolest pistol for me i always take it and C96 where made in various different calibers the ones with the biggest i know of is this one in 45 and than there is the export variant in 9x25mm according to wikipedia some where converted to the black powder 8 Gasser (Revolver cartdrige) but source is from wikipedia and i cant find records of pictures of it it wouldve be cool if they made also the Chinese SMG making the pistol with a magazine (essentially a M712 but Chinese) and i think if scaled up enough you can make it essentially in any caliber you want tho it would get bigger as an handcannon after awhile lol

M712 Schnellfeuher is what you're thinking of. Yes there are some Automatic C96 Variants, Even in the Chinese Military. Frankly i think Bethesda did the C96 Dirty, i love the designs of the C96 and to see be treated so badly in this game just... It irks me man
