+joseph baca people like the simplicity of consoles, I play console cause it's simple, I don't have the time to build a PC and lots of people are bad with PCs (viruses, not knowing how to get programs, or games, let alone running them) people don't always care so much that it'll run a million times better, consoles are a good price, simple to use, and last a long time, you look at a console from 20 something years ago, and it's still runs fine, but PCs get out dated much quicker, ya you can upgrade them but theirs always a limit (btw not wanting a fight haha just saying my opinion) the both have their benefits to them

On the pop-filters (a microphone windscreen is something ells): * They're meant to capture pop sounds from words that has a high impact of air, like words that start with the letter P. * You don't need them when you're not speaking directly into the microphones. So don't waste your time. * You're not placing them correctly, anyway. There needs to be space between the pop-filter and the microphone, to allow the air to "break", before it reaches the microphone membrane. Meaning if you place the pop-filter right next to the microphone, it really does nothing. * You guys look sexy today. I think it's the sunlight.

I bought Destiny for £45 on launch, had to pay £35 for the first two DLC's, second not even having a raid, and now they expect me to pay another £40 for the finished product? Complete shite that is. My dad is a casual gamer that only plays Call of Duty on Xbox One. He just played multiplayer and zombies for his pass time and probably would never play any other game. The whole time when there was a bunch of Destiny: The Taken King commercials going on, he thought that it was a completely new game and he thought it was only on PS4 because the commercial said at the end, "get it on PS4". so I can see what you guys are saying about the exclusivity deals. It really convey a message that kind of tricks you into thinking you can only play or enjoy the game on a specific console.

James, there is a device that allows you to play your game from your PC on a handheld. It's the NVIDIA Shield. It looks like an xbox controller with a screen, and the way it works is that your PC will be running the game and will stream to your handheld where you can control and play the game.

So we're talking about the revenue stream moving from a product-purchase model to more of a subscription-ish model. (Which I totally agree with.) That being said, why do we then talk about unit sales, rather than gross or net sales for a game? If we're talking about micro-transactions, dlc packs, etc, then unit sales wont' give you any kind of accurate measurement of a games financial success. When we're talking about 'Top 10 Lists', it shouldn't be a list of highest number of unit sales and should be net or at least gross game (unit) sales.

Actually Treyarchs games are timeless, great campaigns (black ops 3's also has co-op), as well as zombies, and online with perfect map design with unique looks, great graphics, plenty of game modes and league play for competitive. Hate on Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer all you want but Treyarch are great developers

29:00 thats what happened leading up to GTA5 and Destiny being released. All the ads said PS3/PS4, and literally everyone (exaggeration) shit the bed and bought Playstations, when they had Xbox's. Not sure how many people did, but I do remember it being really annoying, reminding people in comments, random forums, and CoD Lobbies that they were also being released on the console they were playing on. With Destiny it was even more annoying since Bungie and Activision wouldnt say until 1 days before release that Xbox was also getting a Digital Guardian edition (i know because Deej, Activation Support, and Xbox Support responded to my questions). Was like they were not allowed to mention anything, else compromise an advertising deal (speculation). would be interesting to see Sales and pre-order numbers around the time Sony had their E3 press (pocket sand) conference, and Destiny Ads went up.

MisterFitzTastic 1) no shit there was a deal made, but that doesn't mean Bethesda wouldn't have also done a deal with Sony if the PS4 was backwards compatible. 2) Making Fallout 3 free on PS Now would mean people would have to pay for PS Now to have access to it. I think Fallout mods have the potential to be expensive if they go through Bethesda. Even right now there aren't really any free mods, they require site subscriptions or outright payment so my guess is that Bethesda will see that as an opportunity to both make money and keep an army of mod developers on their side. I wouldn't be surprised to see mods at $2-3 each for console where it can be controlled.

I presently enjoy watching Larr, Spoole, and James stream when they do. I'd be very inclined to watch Adam and Matt dual-stream even if they didn't have much time to actually dedicate to livestreaming. I'd enjoy and i'd listen attentively to Adam ranting or just talking about various things. I'd enjoy Matt's tendency to be reserved and quiet most of the time, while watching him play more than Adam, since Adam would most likely focus on talking to chat a bit more than playing the game, which is totally fine. I think it would balance the entire thing out actually. I believe it would make for an excellent stream to watch, we would get best of both worlds. I would think of it as a more condensed version of what we already watch here, with various or more random topics being discussed and gameplay to accompany it, but including live interaction with the guys. Perhaps it would never happen, but it's a just thought i had, so i thought i'd share it.

My boyfriend knows somebody whose husband works at Bethesda. He's been very, very nice to the Bethesda guy. I asked him if he ever asked questions about Fallout 4 or whatever, and he said, "No, I don't want to seem to forward. I'm not going to push him, I don't want to ruin this." i personally think, with regards to the mods, they will look through the most popular mods on PC and collect them to release on console, probs strike a deal with the content creator in which they get a cut of the sales of their mod. that way only the best mods will be picked and the creator doesnt miss out in the long run

I disagree with Bruce's comment about people not complaining about Fallout 4. I've personally got my complaints, and while this is probably my first time venting my issues with the game, I have seen others comment similar thoughts. Maybe this is me being too cynical, but I have no interest whatsoever in the game. Cynical because frankly, there isn't anything atm that holds my interest or that I'm excited to see come out and play, but hey that's a different can of worms! The way it looks in the trailer, and in every other sneak peak at the game before it's release that I have seen, in my opinion (while this will most definitely piss some people off, but hey it's my opinion) I just don't think it 1) looks enticing enough to grasp my interest past the introduction section, 2) The look of the game in terms of graphics doesn't look that good imo, and personally I am a sucker for pretty games (This also seems to be the most "common" complaint I suppose) and 3) The genre of the game in general just isn't for me. I'm sick of open wastelands, I'm sick of zombies, and I just couldn't care less for Fallout 4 :\ I'm definitely a minority here, and personally I really hope the game turns out really well! I just don't think I am going to be buying it day 1, given my "complaints"... :P

I recall Skyrim had time exclusive windows for at least some of the DLC if not all. People were pretty unhappy everytime DLC released and Xbox got it first. I know Playstation users got the short end of the stick, getting everything last, and taking forever to bugfix. Hard to think people are actually upset for non-exclusivity time windows? I mean...when was that ever good? Personally glad to see no console exclusivity. I see no reason for it needing to exist. And find it really frustrating to have to detach myself from a certain part of the internet because I have no choice but to wait for DLC that I can't play, if I want to avoid spoilers.

Opinions and Buttholes. The ending conversation is on point. People just dont know what they want anymore, Oversaturation has been diminshing everything in terms of a product. Whether its a movie or a video game, really anything goes. So many opinions to thwart consideration. Just a small thought.

OMG please no paid PC mods. It makes sense as a marketing point for consoles as they have not had them (easily accessible anyway), but PC has had them since the beginning. Even on games that try to remove them (GTA V in the beginning).

It's strange how they never talk about something like Counter Strike in the discussions about hats free maps etc. Valve makes obscene amounts of money from that game and everyone loves it

Certain Nintendo games do in fact have the feature wherin you can transfer data between your wii u and your 3ds. Monster Hunter and Super Smash Bros are two such cases

The fun thing about this podcast is these guys were predicting the Nintendo Switch (Mostly sans a few things) saying its ten years away when... TADA two years. Crazy huh?

I honestly don't care who or what platform gets exclusive content or DLC's first because i'm to busy playing the games first before i even consider buying any DLC's and majority of the time the DLC's aren't even worth buying when the main game is better then the DLC's so i haven't bought DLC's since 2011 i think?! I don't know... I haven't played the previous fallout games because i didn't care back then but fallout 4 looks good but i'm not hyped about it but i'll eventually play fallout 4...

not that anyone will agree with this but... a movie that is GOOD... should be enjoyable on a phone OR on a screen... 3D explosiony movies vcannot get away with only being enjoyable in the cinema experience...that's exactly why shakespeare has survived so long in popularity, because the most important thing in a story-telling medium, which film is, is the story, and the characters! which is why adam enjoyed warhorse on his phone, but bruce could only enjoy transformers in a cinema...

Seeing as how Xbox 360 had dlc for skyrim before PS3 did I'm gonna assume that xbone might get it earlier than ps4, and Microsoft will just take advantage of that, but I'm pretty sure the dlc will all be released at roughly the same time

In reference to James' idea about taking a game on the go and Bruce's objection that they wouldn't then be getting revenue for two games, couldn't they sell a separate license to use the game on the portable device? Or maybe you have to buy a premium version of the game to have that functionality? It seems like a fairly simple change that would allow them to still get extra revenue and also allow James to play his game on his non-existent bus.

Everybody get mods, not really. Only the PC version can get every mods they want. Console can only mods from Bethesda.net and if the mods are not in their site then you are missing out.

Good. DLC exclusives or timed exclusives are a huge piss off for the consumer. for e.g. Destiny getting less on Xbox One for a YEAR ... >:( .

Hopefully this gets Game of the year. Metal Gear doesn't deserve it and I am a huge MGS fan. The story was horrible and didn't deserve a 10 out of 10 more like a 8.5 or a 9. It was an unfinished game.
