There is something mesmerising and relaxing about watching you build. I am always surprised that the time seems to go by so fast!

I'm assuming the spawned in Windmill can't generate power-in which case, have you considered glitching a fusion generator into it? I guess you could also do regular Windmills on either side for the actual power instead of the aesthetic. Overall this looks amazing. I'm loving the overpass work here, and am bummed we didn't get to see this for the previous under-pass settlements
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
Correct, the windmill is just a prop and so does not generate power. As I have been decorating I have already scaled down and sunk a regular generator into the Windmill (did the same at Sunshine Tidings) so it does now actually provide power👍

just add some prop items and this would be a better point of interest than most default locations

Thanks! Currently in the process of getting the settlement all furnished and decorated for its finished tour 👍.

This one really inspired me! That bar looks really cool, do you think the npcs will actually get there?
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
The settlers can path up to the bar with a little help, once they are on the lower staircase they can find their own way and seem to be able to get down without any help. I suspect using a mod such as Settler Sandbox Expansion to extend their pathing radius would probably fix that.

@@FiddleflapsVids Do mods work after the ''next gen'' update though?
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
@@sungarcia421 Yes and no, it really depends on the individual mod and what they do. A lot of simpler standalone mods worked just fine after the ‘update’. On PC any mod that required the script extender was broken until it got updated, which then required the authors to update their mod to work with that new version. Theres a couple of mods that I use that I am still waiting to be updated (Buffout 4, Transfer Settlements and Place Everywhere), but as I had the update blocked I can still thankfully use the existing mod versions without any issues.

This brings home just how rubbish my buildings are 😢
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
Aww, now you have made me feel bad 😉. Building is like any skill, the more you practice the better you will become. I found trying to recreate other peoples builds I had seen and then adding my own twist to them really helped improve to my building skills. That and giving up on struggling with the vanilla building mechanics and using the Place Everywhere mod 😅
@justsomewendigowithinterne7062Ай бұрын
@@FiddleflapsVidsI agree. The place everywhere mod is an absolute lifesaver.

It would be cool if its possible, you could make a timelapse at the end, of all the proggress you made
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
Not sure I would be able to do time lapse, although as with all my other builds I’ll be doing a tour of the settlement once its all furnished and decorated 👍.

I'm not a master planner like yourself as I just wing it and see if it works in the moment.
@dwarf_nz483Ай бұрын
Same here. I never plan anything out other than a general purpose for a specific structure as I am building it.
@FiddleflapsVidsАй бұрын
That pretty much describes my ‘planning’ process, I just throw pieces together until I get something I am happy with… Usually involves lots of building and then tearing down stuff until it looks right, and occasionally just scrapping and starting builds over from scratch when things are really not working out 😅😆.

@@FiddleflapsVids that sounds like a very time consuming process 😂😂 thank you for showing us the end result of all your hard work!
